  1. I was going to suggest the same thing but here in Nevada the vehicle has to be inspected by the DMV before they will give you a fresh registration if it hasn’t been registered in a number of years and it’s out of their computer. Good luck.bob
  2. We got turned on to a Mexican handyman around here. The guy works real cheap and does great work as I mentioned. I’m hoping he still does it. Last thing he did was about 60 feet for six grand.
  3. Yes, I don’t recall ever seeing one either. That’s why I assumed it was very old. I am not very familiar with fire equipment at all. But from where I stand, it just looks like a very old design. I’m even going to go as far as possible before engines were invented. At least that’s what it looks like pre-engine era. Bob
  4. I was going to say the same thing I didn’t even know if they sold that filler primer anymore great progress thanks thanks for that bob

  8. Might be looking at the same deal our neighbors are moving that we really liked. They’re selling the house. All we got is a chicken wire fence in between these days. You never know what you’re gonna get so I’m just going to put up 6 foot redwood pickets and not have to worry about anything Not sure it’s probably not gonna be cheap but we do know a guy… hopefully he’s still doing it … he … was very reasonable… bob

  22. I remember as a young guy, one of our local wrecking yards had a D9. They used to move shit around with man. That thing sounded real good. I used to enjoy watching the guy move cars around just listening to that caterpillar engine almost appeared to have a little louder exhaust for some reason, I don’t know whether it was wore out muffler or what, but it was a little louder Than I thought it should be … and yes, heavy equipment as usual very interesting to most of us… bob
  23. Ha ha, sorry about venting. I thought I would throw that in. Got to stay home today and I’m too tired to do anything…. Bob
  24. Excellent good luck yeah, I was very impressed with the work. These guys did so broke down yesterday off today. set 6 1/2 hours waiting for a wrecker started work at 7:30. Didn’t leave the yard till almost midnight. Bob
  25. Yeah, I’m just glad all my sheep metal is in good shape, especially out here. I don’t have much choices and used Mack parts. Fortunately, I pretty much got everything I need except for a few odds and ends, including paint and body supplies, which is probably only gonna run me about 250 bucks at the most as I mentioned I’ve already been collecting parts for this thing the past 30 years so all the expensive shit is done except for the tires so I still probably have another 2500 at the most everything I need And as far as the cab goes sheet metal brake wire feed welder and lots of time, hobby trucks most of us don’t have a whole lot of money
