  1. David, Sorry, I missed that about more photos. I'll get them to ya. Dale...
  2. I thought with all this talk about crawlers & dozers, one of you fellers would want to but that Komatsu D57S I have listed in the for sale section! I want to purchase a 1957 Caterpillar D4 I found in North Carolina when I sell the Komatsu. I just want an old cat to show with my B61. Come on guys, get rid of some of that stingy money! Dale..
  3. Hey Brian, No, I willnot be able to. Are you going? I have a truck/tractor show this saturday in Watkinsville, Ga. It is call "touch-a-truck". We have all types of "rigs" at this show. We have construction equiptment, long haulers, local haulers, logging rigs etc. Caterpillar, from what I have been told, is going to bring some of their big off road dumps and crawlers there. Caterpillar has just started on a new plant in Athens, Ga. which is suppose to employee about 1400 folks, which is good for this area. I will take some photos and post them if there is anything I thing yall would like to see. Is that a 3 or 4 bottom your pulling? Dale...
  4. Hey Porch Pup, I grew up using the 720 diesels with a mounted cotton picker which was driven in reverse. Where are you located? If you are ever in this area come for a visit. The parade in the photo in 2008 was on RFTV and we had 209 tractors. Dale..
  5. Deere had a lot of mad customers in 1962 when they stoped building 2 cylinders. Customers changed their minds when they operated the "new generation" tractors for a time. Lots of old timers around here would not change over until the old 2 cylinders wore out. Can't get but so much horse power out of 2 pistons. I have farmed with a lot of deere's in my life and I feel there has never been a better tractor built than the 1969-1972 JD 4020. I can remember runing a #2 or #22 cotton picker mounted on a JD 720 diesel. You only had one ground speed (reverse!)
  6. The pads are triple grousers/ 17 1/2" wide
  7. That's right!! She follows me around like a cat would. You ought to see the big field rats she brings home!!
  8. I will have to let you know about the pads tomorrow. I am not at home today. I have to work for someone else one day a week, but 24 hrs straight. P.S. thats not a kid! Thats me!! Look good for 57 don"t I?!
  9. Thanks Rob. Why not do like I am doing, I don't need it any more but I still have it! Dale..
  10. I have a 1986 Komatsu D57S track loader for sale. Runs great and starts good. Pins/bushings are about 50%, never turned, bottom is about 50%, Sprokets and idlers are 75%. Has komatsu 4 cylinder 130hp engine. Weighs abo 35,000#. I have used this loader on my farm for about 12 years. I have only put 400-500 hrs on it. Just don't need it any more. It has a total of 7200 hrs. The only thing that needs attention is the bucket cylinders need to be repacked. It can be run as is but uses about 5 gal fluid in a 8-10 hr hard day. I was going to ask about $12,000 for it. Uses no oil. Steers exc.
  11. You must have that thing they call (esp). I feel the same way. My wife don't understand why I am so against the way things are in this country., She says I was born 70-80 years too late and I must agree!! There are 2 things I strongly believe in in this life and thats the "chain-gang & public excutions!). You can't tell me that would not resolve several of this countrys problems. Simple, you don't work you don't eat!!

  13. Hey Rob, Here in the south why should anyone look for a job when the government will pay you to sit at home on your @##!! Most folks would not have a job if it were offered to them. They are too lazy to work!! The bad part is the folks that ARE willing to work can't find a job because most co-operate organizations are shipping their products over seas to utilize "slave" or cheep labor. The old saying is true,,,Rich get richer and poor get poorer...
  14. Thought you all might like to see an old B61 at work in a show here in Georgia! This was at the annual "Cotton Gin Festival" in Bostwick, Ga. The event is held each year on the first Saturday in November. This pat year (2011) we had 194 tractors of all types and colors. I supprised everyone when I hauled my tractor in the parade with my B61. I think it drew more attention than most anything else. (I guess I may be bragging a little too!) I will admit there wasn't another mack there. Someone said after the show there were between 4-5 thousand folks there! The state shuts down the state route 83 all day for us! If you are ever in this area about that time of the year we would love to have some more macks or any "big rig" come and show off! That is me at the wheel. A friend took these pictures and I don't know if there are any more or not. I know it was recorded on dvd and will try to get a copy and try to figure out how to post it. See Yall!!
  15. When I talked with Mr Whitehead he told me he just sold one of the B61's which was running for $3500. He said he sold it to a young man (18-20) which he was going to restore. He said the young man was going to drive it home which was about 15 miles away. Mr Whitehead said he told him he would haul it for him because the truck was not road legal. Nice to hear there are some young people that do have their head on straight! Very unusual for young people here in the south to be interested in any type of "old" iron. Not sure what he wants for any of the other trucks or parts. He told me for you guys to call him if you are interested. He is a real "level headed" and hard working man. Dale Wiley..
  16. Sounds good to me. I guess you go by "Tim" ? Looked at your web site. You all do some good work. I'll call some time and talk trucks. My phone is 770-464-3276.
  17. Howdy You-all ! The B models are 1959 B67's per the owner. Just talked with him, since I live about 20 miles away. He said he is willing to sell any of the trucks. He said he also has extra cabs, engines, transmissions, rears, etc. These trucks belonged to his dad who has passed away about 2 years ago. He said he bought 7 old b models from a guy in N.J. about 35 years ago. He said he also has some old Dodge road tractors and the Ford L9000. His name is Larry Whitehead. Address is 5520 Hog Mountain Rd (Hwy 53) & his phone is 706-769-6013. He said he would sell all, some or parts. I also asked him about a B61 about 10 miles from his place on "New Highshoals Rd" and he said the guy still has the truck and would like to sell it. His name is Allen Carter. Hope this info helps. Dale....
