I would suspect the front tires..
-

Can't believe the price of tires, just got a price on Goodyear 12/24.5 from the tire shop I always use and who always has the pest prices he told me 690 apiece, just last summer the same tire was five and change even the continental tire in that size was almost six hundred,he also told me the price is just gonna keep going up along with the price of oil and everything else,Not looking good at all !!!
-
That might but a little strain on Killer-B pulling that monsta around, lol
-
You gotta go to the bank and take out a mortgage just to change the oil in your truck lol..
-
Been doing that for years, running my 96 cl with two 12 volt instead of 4 12 volt and my 90 RD with just two 12 volt,so far so good but im sure they wont last as long as 4,also a lot of trucks running three 12 volts from the factory, seems to work good also.

Been using 15/40 motor oil for years and have no problem even in bitter cold weather, why use tyranny fluid when Mack recommends motor oil?If it's a hobby truck ok but if your running every day I think you should use what Mack recommends, can the tyranny fluid lubricate the pump as well as motor oil, just asking because I don't know and I'm thinking that's why they recommend the motor oil.

Thanks for the information guys..

My question is do all brands of the same size tire have the same weight rating? do all 12/24.5 have a weight rating of 7830 in a single application,I have a 20,000 pound axle in my CL dump but can only put 15.660 on it,what else can I do,will different size spokes bolt to my drums if so what size should I go with,if it doesn't cost to much I'd like to up my weight permit for next season,Thanks for any help..

Damned thing starved out again while moving it last night. Seems I forgot to tighten the suction hose fitting at the tank after starting it by hand. One of those things I forgot to do when the telephone broke my limited train of thought. Simple fix but sure a pain in the ass. Getting these V8's to prime with no hand primer pump is difficult so I built up a regulator and apply 35 psi to the tank while the vent bleeds. It sure helps to force fuel through the system till the air is purged in the fuel gallery within the pump. Silicone lubricant spray helps to get the engine running so you don't have to grind on the starter for several minutes.
If I had my gorilla I'd just have her crank it around with a bar but ole randyp is being a little selfish these days.

In the past I've used a piece of bike tube attached to the neck of the fuel tank with a hose clamp, worked great and won't blow up the tank.

Nothing compares to that sick feeling you get when something bad happens to one of your kids, happy to hear she is doing better, prayers are sent,,,

Twelve speed over drive would be my choice, that's what I have now and also had in my last truck, never had a problem with ether one, also works great with a 350.
-
Mack recommends engine oil,I use Mack oil 15-40,by the way same thing happened to me a month ago, they don't steer very well with no fluid, lol do your self a favor and check the rest of your lines.

Also possible that the puff-limiter needs to be adjusted or maybe its not working at all,try a snap test first with parking brake on and then off, should be a lot less smoke with the brake off.
-
Can you fit a 12 speed under a B,that would be my first choice.

1,400 for a reman air compressor doesn't seem possible, why don't you see if Barry can tell you how much they cost.I would say five to six hundred sounds right.
-
Yes I mean the bushing housing, and the over size bushing can work well if the bar is not worn to bad and the saddles are not worn or out of round,I used them once and they worked fine, you should have your mechanic measure every thing up and see if it's whith in spec, what ever spec is I don't know but a good spring shop should be able to help out. Were your old buhings worn all the way through?
-
They do sell different size bushings,od is the same but id is smaller, but I don't know if you can buy them from Mack, check with a spring shop, also like I said in my first post check the saddles to see if there out of round if they are don't use them.
-
There is no repair for a worn trunion bar,you need to mike the bar and the saddles to see if there within spec,if not replace everything with new parts,if the old bushings were worn all the way through and the bar is worn like you said than the saddles are most likley worn also and out of round,if you got the bucks I suggest you replace the bar and saddles with new parts, good luck.

I used it in my pickup for a power steering pump leak that was really bad,the leak was at the shaft seal and this stuff worked like a charm..
-
Looks good, what year is it I'd guess 85 or so with the round tanks.

I think that isolation is the key to a quite cab,the more you can isolate the cab from the chasis the quiter it will be,but there is only so much you can do with an older truck but changing it over to an air ride cab would cut down a lot of noise also trany mounts and engine mounts if worn out will transfer a lot of noise into the cab.
