all i can say for the 12spds there are good ones and bad ones
had 3 of them all had different shifting problems
you will need a very strong tranny jack (very heavy trans) and a trap door in the floor for quick repairs of shifter fork rails and air lines
they were good trannys because mack had nothing else for high horse power off road abuse
(superdog) the mack 13spd and 18spd trans are the same unit but the shifter nob is the only thing that is different (the T2130 can be made into a T2180 with the price of the shifter)
don't want to make anybody upset but the T2180 started as a T2090 witch still does not have a good low low (13.91) but the .71 is not to bad
I have had awful good luck with my two stick 12 spd. Put it my DM dump about 8 years ago, the only thing that has been touched is put new o rings in the back box shift cylinders. And it was a used take out box. Would not trade it for anything else. Terry

Hey everyone, thanks for all the interest and nice comments.....I will get more pictures on when I can, I have a few in my gallery of the truck when I got it and when I sand blasted the frame. The engine went in pretty smooth, I had to remove the oil pan to get the clearance over the front cross member. There are alot of things I am learning as I go, I used the original quad box tranny and push type double disc clutch (series 50). There was an interference problem with the newer engine flywheel housing and the old dish type flywheel that I used. I had to grind some off the lower portion of the housing to let the flywheel turn, it hit at first and kept the motor from turning....that was no good, but I am past that now... I had to build my front motor mount, I used part of the old mount and part of the newer style and welded the two of them together.....if any of you have questions or if anyone else has done this very same install, let me know I have some questions and I am more than willing to help if anyone needs something answered...I will try to help...
Did you also change to the old style short water pump? and the short crankshaft hub? If you did not things will not clear. On the water pump i forgot if you have to change the housing too. Terry

Trent, those are some great pictures. The 800's were some awsome trucks. Trucks and trains, what a combination! Tim
The dollies underneath the steam engine were self propelled, there is a seperate diesel engine that was hung on the side of the locomotive to power the dollies. It was quite a sight to see, the company i work for had the rubber tired loader to help push when needed and we done the sight preparation for the locomotives. Terry

I'm trying to get the registry updated for the end of the year. Getting real close to 1900 listed. So all you smoke sucking B model owners that ain't put your truck in the registry, get your info in. Go to 'oldmacksrus.com' and put your info in or send it straight to me at 'gannaway@voyager.net'. Remember - dead or alive, complete or in pieces - the registry is open to all B models!

Tom i was wondering do you have any records that breaks down the B733 series into single or tandem axle, i bought a B733 from a man in Cali. which is a B733LT which is a single axle and was wondering if many of these trucks were made, also has the L cab. Terry

Good question, Rick...I have a customer doing the same thing here...I will be curious to see the answer! I can't find anything to match up...maybe it needs to be hand made!
I once solved that problem by taking a newer bracket and slotting the holes that bolt to the block then you can slide it forward or back to line the belts up.

Just bought a 1966 B-75 Mack with quadraplex trany and END 711 motor. I already own a B-61. Does anyone know how many of the B-75's were made? It is a neat truck. What is the main difference in the 75 and 61?
Thanks for the info.
Robert
Do you want to sell the B75? Where are you located, i am looking for a mack like that. Terry

I think the old style twists to turn on and the newer style pulls on and pushes off. Terry
