  1. Thanks Paul, just paid for it! Should be a good read, cheers Mick
  2. I didn't want to take over the "R686ST with hood scoop" topic with this one so here we go! 2 x 1975 R797RS MACK TRUCKS, the story goes they were built in the USA then exported to NZ for heavy haul work. It appears to be all correct going by the info I've found. My question is, has anyone ever heard of similar one off builds? Cheers, Mick
  3. Paul those two R797'S were probably a one off I'd say! Good idea for a forum topic! Mick
  4. Hey Paul, can you post a picture of the cover please,Mick p.s. or pm me with it
  5. What needs to be done is post a fake add for a Mack, get them too call, get the address where they are, go around and rub 'em out! Simple! I wish, f'ing parasites, Mick
  6. I'd reckon you'd know plenty Swishy! Just looked like early 60's to me but then I was only born in '58 cheers Mick
  7. Hey Swishy, you sure that's not earlier? I see an FB/EK then an early VW then a Commer! Yes/No? Mick
  8. Here's both '75 R797RS 866v8's together, Mick (from F$@!*7K I think)
  9. There ya go, didn't see this before my last reply! Steve, I've read a couple of different stories about the two R700's but what you've said matches the first one so I reckon that's gonna be it, Mick
  10. Knowledge is never a waste of time Paul, me old mate! I've got some pics of the two R700's I'm on about, just searching through my crap for more! As for your original question on this topic, I'm gonna go with N.Z. build simply because as like you I've never seen a Mack with a scoop here in OZ! Mick
  11. Paul, I didn't mean every Mack was built in the USA, just two R700's a one off order! At least that's what I've read! Maybe some of our NZ mates might know the story. The R700's were if I remember correctly (hard to do these days ) for the company in your first two pics, I'll have a look for pic. Mick
  12. There's nothing better than an R600/RD600 hooked up to a lowboy! For me anyway, Mick
  13. What makes me laugh most is if you get "OLD MATE" VLAD in the right light and angle, f__k me he looks like MEL BROOKS! Just my two bob's worth, Mick
  14. Good question Paul! I don't know for sure except for a pair of R700's built in either the U.S.A. or CANADA depending on which story you read! What I've read was they were "custom built" R.H.D. over there and exported to N.Z. for heavy haulage. I first came across one on Ebay, a long time ago, still got pics! Mick
  15. It's an old truck so the old school way should work! Do you know what that is? You'll need a knockometer and nice shed by the way, Mick
  16. Hi Al, I ended up buying one of these and the CASE/IH unit as well! Wasn't going to, I thought they were a bit rich on the price. I thought if I'm going to get one I've gotta get the one like your BCR, it's a cool looking rig, Mick
