  1. It was cool!

Too glad to see your progress.

I'm shure all that story must be thankful to your wife.

She vent to look over and the ball started rolling.

As about the old fuel I don't think it can make troubles. Diesel is not a gasoline, doesn't loose its properties.

So you may just filter it or stay in a drum for some time to wait for all the mixed up pieces fall down and that put it in a tank again.

Or mix it with fresh fuel 50/50. Depends on how much fuel in tanks you have now.

  2. I also surprized when I saw those ugly monsters for the first time.

On my mind they came into existance due to cooperation of different companies for the reason of saving import and shipping costs.

I saw in the book the picture of a B model supplied to Europe with just no cab. Only the chassis with an engine, hood and cowl. Like AC bulldog in its standart complectation. But with the driver by the steering wheel!

  3. Very straight looking truck Thomas, congrats on it.

    I always like R's.

Although I just don't understand well the reason (or the form) of such registry.

If I'd like to registry any thing I should describe and put in most properties of a subject.

For the best it must be a VIN and everything else in a following.

I think somebodies don't like to put a VIN by some reason although a model, a year of production, minor description and pictures should be included.

    Just my point of view.

  4. I hoped you don't work hard on that matter because I was shure you had enough your own business.

Although you gave me the idea to not restore all the photo and stretch it out from the spheric projection but make it up new.

I might be cleaning up the original logo or just use the one you attached to.

Anyway I'm not so far yet to repaint the air cleaner.

I just plan how to do over R and sadly come into conclusion I should work it out completely, from the rear end to the engine.

  5. I sure like that Northen Vermont style.

Beautiful dress with camuflage vest and the shot gun makes cool emotions. It's good to remember about for a long time.

Mike, your son looks like he also did his day at the spring time, the best for such events

Paul, the name Maxim is popular here indeed although I suppose it has Lathinic roots from "maximum". It means a one who named so is a sort of "high" or "great".

  6. Thank you for the sceneries.

    Ford 9000 looks a beast.

The blonde is awesome, a really high rate.

At least higher than those sheeps.

Although I think last times such wimmins are being not with guys who ready to fill the tank or repaint her car.

When we come too friendly to them they just turns ass side to us.

    Oh hell!

Tom, what did you mean by the words "to fill her fluid tank??"

  7. Seeing the frame hanging on chains reminded me of the old Hayes shop in Vancouver where everything was assembled by hand, upside down at first then rolled over, wheels on and hand-pushed down what was laughingly called an "assembly line" I worked for Mack twice, once in Calgary in the 1960's as the shop driver, demo new and used, appraised trade-ins, brought new from the factory in Plainfield and from dealers all over North America, I think I imported the last LJ into Canada. Later I was a salesman for Mainland Mack in Langley B.C. Sold tons of "R" models and MH's. I'll be watching your progress. Ted Campbell

Ted, thank you for the interesting story. I also have Canadian made R-model and would say I like the specifications wich Canadians put to that truck. Long wheel base, big enough and well insulated sleeper, big tanks and so on. I'm shure environment conditions in Canada and Russia are close to each other so it's typical to like Canadian vehicle's performances because they are so usable and comfortable here. The truck is for a hobby though.

  8. Hi Vlad, So you can order from them but not direct? If thats the case who cares as long as you get the exact part you want, they do carry a lot of items not in the catalog but you have to ask. How hard is it for you to get a box shipped from here as I could send you a catalog if you wanted? Paul

Paul, thank you again, I hope I can work this story out.

I'll need carriage bolts mostly and many of them for whole a new wooden bed. Not ready for because I'll need them of different sizes I haven't counted yet. I should make drowings of a body and I started on it. Many questions came on a surface so I contacted Mack museum and wait for the info now. Mail shipping to Russia was too cantancerous when I tried on. Had to wait a parsel for above 8 weeks. Russia now looks and in many cases is a modern country although many state services still used to work their way as it was at Sovies Union times. With only difference they did nothing but asked tiny cost for and now they also don't make their job but the prices are market. I better put my friend's adress in Germany or Holland to recieve a mail and then pick it up myself there. Long time but I know it comes well. I think it's strange to learn such things in 21st sentury although it's the reality. I hope I don't need a catalog so hard, would like to sak you If I definitely don't understand anything.

  9. Wow, if I saw her right in that forest, I could put he in the bunk with no talks.

    Just kidding, I'm a good boy :)

Tom, she looks very nice to the environment, just has no shoes and carried some strange blue stuff in her left elbow.

Glad to see your art, thanks.

By the way, don't you want to work out a good picture of a Mack air filter decal?

You should use Photoshop for, you are the great master of.

I'm going to reproduce it as a sticker and need to make it up from what I have.

  10. The A is an updated E.

The grille and hood are different. The E model door uses a one piece door glass and the A model uses a main glass as well as a vent window. The steel doors between an E and A are basically the same. The A features side vents in the sheet metal of the cowl section of the cab. There were little changes such as A models have black background gauges. E models have a tan background. The gauges were the same besides the colors and made for Mack by Stewart Warner.

Much of the running gear and chassis remained the same but as Mack made upgrades slight changes developed.

Thank you for cleaning to me what I can't see on net pictures.

I saw in the book an E-model has a distance between the frame rails wider in rear than in front.

Does an A has the same arrangement?

Or maybe diff. E's had frames of diff. kinds due to a payload?

  11. see new photos with chasis numbers and engine numbers.

I have seen well everything you posted including the new pics.

Can't add anything new to what I said before.

The engine is Mack END, probably 673, I'm not the best specialist on them.

Although the original one was ED Lanova 519, had different mainfolds, fuel pump and many others.

ALL NR's were factory equipped with them.

They were not commonly used engines of later years and difficult to cold start because they were pre-chambered so I see nothing strange if somebody put another more modern Mack engine in the truck. By the way, they looked mostly similar and had many connections of the same kind.

  12. Hi Paul, thank you. It seems those guys have tons of different hardware. Although they look too quick on a deal while asking me to register in the site right after 3 clicks on the items I wanted to see. I shure can order from them because it's the easiest way here to order by a local importer. I just contact supplier and then give the info of what I want, from where and how many. Locals contacted them then, I pre-payed with extra % and don't care about customs and so on. At least it worked good still.
