Does anybody know what happened to "Thumper" ? My friend John has seen his old trailer twice now behind a KW. He talked to the guy on the radio that owns the trailer now and said that the truck was forsale too.... What gives?

Hell Decatur is only 35 min from me. We never big loads around here, unless its a damn windmill....

I have never pulled a load with my E9 yet. I have been told if u keep ur foot out of it and dont show off with the smoke, the E9 is way better. I have drove tons of pumped up E6 350 and they will eat fuel on windy days. Im sure the E9 dosent even notice the wind blowing. lol

1 1/4 suction from tank then 1" presure back to cylinder (says that on pump) this goes to the dump trailer fitting to raise it up. U need a retun beside the pressure line to retun back to the tank. For a 3 line system u need a return from the third port on the pump that retuns to the tank ( it CAN NOT be plumbed in with the suction line either) If the 3rd line system is used u need to remove the suction fitting on the pump and install a sleeve inside the pump and put the fitting back on. If u have any more questions i can help as much as possible. I ve installed 3 systems in the last 2 months. Good Luck ~Joe

Whats that in the second to last pic by the brake chamber?

I tried to use the CH style air tanks, but the stock air tanks have a flat spot on the end of them to help it tuck under the battery box. Other wise they stick out about 2 inches plus i bought 2 secondary tanks by accident.

I just bought 2 new steel air tanks from the local dealer and man are the expensive... $212.00 a piece. wish they would have put rubber under the straps from the factory. I wouldnt have to buy new ones if they did. Now on to paint em..

I have taking the supply pumps off before and compared them like this. The guy from the local pump shop said to put the pump in bpth hands (roller facing away from u and fingers on it) try to pump push it in by tightening your grip. The old one icould squeeze a little and the new one was impossible. It may have just been a one and a million shot but it I sis notice a difference.
As a note to some of u guys the pump shop did say the 350 supply pumps did flow a little more than the 300s.

My friend John had the stock E9 turbo rebuilt and re-worked at the same time, and he said the reworked made more boost than the holset and out performed it. He advanced his pump timing 3 degrees and tuned the pump up as much as it would allow. Hs said he could pull Mt. Eagle ( from a get on ramp at the bottom) 92,000lbs. and top it at 75 mph while passing 2 junk Petes ( that where empty).
He put on many heads due to loose valve seats, from getting them to hot the day before. He put on a set of Dale Francis heads and never had a problem again. 6.5 mpg and tons of power.
-
The valve seats are known for getting loose if you get them hot. Mack doesnt press them in as hard as Dale Francis does.
-
Laser cut ones. But u shouldn't need em unless u want to buy em.
-
We use one on our pulling truck. I think it would be a great upgrade. U will need more fuel for sure.

Ya I wanted "Mother" (what Jr called the haul truck) too! He sold it way cheap too. Kinda sad.
