  1. The puff limiter is disabled on our Cruiseliner because its leaking air badly down at the injector pump.We are looking for one but no luck finding one yet.Can they be repaired? Or is it just a throw away part? Paul
  2. Poor roo...no match for a roo bar....or a truck... Paul

Im not into politics at all but congrats to you if this is the President you hoped for.I hope he rebuilds your country the way you'd like it.Ireland is f#€ked...high interest rates familys with two good incomes still cant buy a place to live in.Diesel at around 9 dollars a gallon.Im just happy im not starting out in life now..... Paul

  8. I know the story only too well Bob...part of the deal to get our Cruiseliner is too upgrade our bathroom.Herself drives a hard bargin so i have spent the last week up to my ears in tiles pipes fittings and new bath, shower, toilet and handbasin/cabnets...Dam i hate DIY but i will do it for the Mack.... Paul
  9. Replacements id say.if you have 30/30 on one side and 40/40 on the other side of the same axle you will have a brake imbalance.it would never pass a safety inspection here in Ireland.... Paul
  10. Thanks for that Vlad.ill look in to that.Yes we are in the EU.hopefully we get them somewhere. Paul
  11. Yip not a clue.Dodge made the L 1000 range of cabover semi's in the 60s and to me they were a beautiful truck.im sure they made other semi trucks too.to say the Big Horn was their only semi shows the person who wrote this doesnt know Jack..... Paul
  12. That exhaust set up looks great. Paul
  13. Hi all,we have changed the UJs on the shift linkage and bushes but so far we are unable to get the oil seals.in order to provide some lub we packed it with a light grease as this doesnt seep out.its a major improvement in gear shifting.we took the truck for a long drive today and it a joy to drive.the only problems we have left to sort out is a slight weep from the bottom corner of the rad and new tyres.my son and I cant thank you all enough for all the advise and encourgement you all gave us since we got our truck.this is a great site to be a member of.
  14. Its great to see the gloom begin to lift for you,,God knows you have had a rough time.yes the most important thing is family and friends.your grandson has been an insperation for you and keep him close.enjoy the show you need it after what you all have been through.thoughts and prayers from Ireland.... Paul
  15. Yes Brocky it applys to all vehicles.in the case of cars its 6 years for the tyres and trucks its 10 years. There are no exceptions untill the vehicle is 40 years from date of first registration not assembly.Thats my problem with the Cruiseliner.it is a 1982 truck but was not registered untill 1989 so iv to wait untill 2029 to be exempt...large PITA paul
  16. I agree with what you say Vlad but the law in Ireland says tyres over 10 years old must be scrapped.now both you and I know the ones on our truck will be perfectly good for a hobby truck..... Paul
  17. Thanks for that Vlad.yeah they came back to me saying tubeless only.the tyres on the truck are fairly good with 6 to 8mm of thread left but the problem is they are over 10 years old.In Ireland tyres over 10 years old must be scrapped.....ill have to keep looking. Paul
  18. When i was driving trucks for a living i lost 2 wheels off a trailer i had just picked up.all looked good when i done my walk around inspection but a few hours down the road off came the wheels just missing a few people on the footpath or sidewalk as you say in the US.man id nightmares for weeks after that... Paul
  19. Thanks for that.i was wondering as we have spokes on our Cruiseliner and i like to tighten wheels to exact spec... Paul
  20. Absolutly class Vlad.yeah the Mack show is a must for us now.maybe just maybe we can bring our Cruiseliner next year.put up more pics if you can. Paul
  21. Is this engine computer controlled? Im only asking out of interest as iv no knowledge of this set up.if anyone can sort it out you can joey.... Paul
  22. Bit of a work out there Bob.i havent done truck tyres in years but then im only 17......in my head🤣.you could say the tyres are part worn just dont say what part!!! Any harm to ask what the wheel nut torque is on the spyder spoke wheels???.keep up the great work im looking forward to seeing that Bulldog driving down the road... Paul
  23. Thats good.weight capacity is not an issue as it will be a show truck only.here in Ireland when you regester a vehicle as vintage you are not allowed to carry a load or in the case of a Semi your not allowed to haul a trailer and the tractor must be disabled in such a way as it cant haul a trailer.the usual thing to do is remove the air lines between the tractor/trailer. Paul
  24. Super resto of a beautiful truck.it is great when you get them out and about..it's what this hobby is about.good luck with the truck.....
  25. Ok guys,im working on vehicles a long time but never heard of timing a steering shaft.could anyone please explain? Im always keen to learn something new.its possible i know it as something else but would love to know.thanks Paul.
