  1. Made in Milton Pa because of the Tomato's. Our neighbor Ray Bowersox used to have a contract to haul for them. He was Milton Transportation and I kinda remembering him owning an IH dealership. His antique collection was huge, and really nice stuff like this too. He had a 707 gas powered LJ that looked brand new. I think it was a national first place winner https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/hf12/lots/r101-1931-duesenberg-model-j-barrelside-dualwindshield-phaeton-by-lebaron/
  2. If those bolt holes are dimpled in, you want to take a big flat punch and drive them out a little. Also make sure the shouldered bolts screw all the way into the rocker shaft mounts and the shoulder sits tight on the mount. Lots of times incorrect washers get used on the bolts holding the rocker shafts to the cylinder head and the rocker cover bolt bottoms out on the incorrect washer.
  3. I thought you were Polish Yeah amazing how fast I went from thinking I was going to get my baton twirled by a hot Irish chick to cleaning up purple SpaghettiOs. Worst part was I promised I'd have her home by 11
  4. I can't stand the sight of them. I was at a party one time long long ago and this red headed baton twirler chick puked SpaghettiOs all over me after drinking too much blackberry brandy.
  5. I'm kinda sad they took the Indian Head off of it. Just like the Aunt Jemima thing
  6. Can't hurt to try. Lots of times times it'll look wet around that cylinder's exhaust port. Taking the exhaust manifold off is usually a dead giveaway. Usually number 4 or 5 lets go first. Cracking injection lines one at a time and listening/looking for a change in smoke and blowby can be helpful too
  7. Sudden onset of white smoke and blowby makes me suspect it needs at least one liner kit replaced, if not all 6
  8. Under the Obama Regime
  9. Truck looks pretty bad in the dark. Did you see the right front steering tire. And he says he'll run it another 1000 miles or until the belts show. And he is from out west but that interview was at the Carlisle Petro.
  10. How the hell does he get away with running it? I haven't seen anyone operate like that in a long time.
  11. From My front lot, I'll have to get some better pictures later
  12. I had a 75 dm600 237 triaxle like 35 years ago. I think probably one of the best dump trucks ever made. Even when it was beat to death, it was still reliable as hell
  13. It's a 2 valve 672 cubic inch block and heads. I haven't seen many of them get water into the cylinder. Sleeve is dry, and the heads don't crack into the water jacket much. I've seen some leak from the head gaskets, but that was external seepage
  14. Yeah, well there is the really suckiful stuff like that too
  15. Usually white smoke is late timing. Could be a bunch of other things too. Cold, low compression, bad nozzle spray pattern, fuel contaminated with a bunch of gas will all make white smoke too
  16. Schnabel load. Looks like the dolly might be steerable.
  17. If a guy in a suit, and a fashionably dressed attractive woman on the TV said it, it has to be true
  18. But he had to, because of the trucker shortage
  19. Chain drives were the planetary axles of their day. They put the final reduction right at the wheel. Just like a planetary the shafts coming from the differential didn't have to carry all the torque that was applied at the wheel. Not to mention, the axle the truck rode on could be solid. They had a lot of advantages for heavy haul. I think Mack only discontinued offering them in the mid 50's
