  2. woke up at hubbert OH with this parked aside of me. got to talk to the man, 85 rw713 350 12spd, i forget the rears they were mid 4's not 4.17 ssomething lower, its hard to see but in the grill in the lower corner he put and early mack emblem, nice ride.
  3. the parts thing was had me thinking too, but along I78 in pa there are 3 or 4 guys just cutting up old trucks loading parts in containers and sending to NJ it just as gutt wrenching.
  4. what the? i can fix it just throw the camera alittle harder at the computer that should do it. and if that doesn't set the camera on top of the computer but make sure its on top of the enter key and drive over them with a truck, one of these two ways should fix it,
  5. at baltimore going to nigera. the 700 had a cummins, they said a ship left yesterday with about 100 trucks on it, sad,
  6. if its your dream go for it, i was in the same boat sometime ago, just iwas never told about certain things, if i could doit all over i take some buisness classes or accounting classes it will help, cause driving the truck is the easy part, you have to way your opp. on independant or company, if you have someones ready to use your truck right away go for it if not find a co. then lern the ropes then go on your owen, thats how i did it, just as an ind. things to think of, truck ins. bobtail and liability, federal tax, quaterly fuel tax, milage reports, health ins, and when your young that may not be important but some day you cold be married and shes going to want health ins, then taking care of the truck if old you could nikel and dime your self if its new have a payment every month sometimes a big one plus the insurance. its hard work and the goverments not helping, all that said theres great pride in this industry, your a hard worker and at the end of the day you may not have as much as the next guy but what you have you will have worked hard for and youll be proud of it. theres alot more and youll get good advice from these pepole, thanks
  7. there was a gold 700 with an eagle sleeper and long wb. on the east coast a few years ago, herd it had burned just rumor, had a 3406 i think, never met the man but seen the truck
  8. sorry about that the wife had to fix the rest, im no good with this stuff,
  9. i have some old e9 and e7 marine info try to post.
  10. we have old cars and while they were good in there time there is some modern tech thats good, and in the car world you can get stand alone computers for all kinda swaps, so mack should offer mp 7 8 10 swaps, 450hp or 505hp in an r, good exhaust brake, yee ha. but really just think of putting a better engine in those 2000 and newer trucks, we my not be volvo fans but there here to stay so we can use there technology or keep waiting, i wouldnt pull a v8 to put in a 6 but if i were building a truck i sure would look at putting in an mp if you could get some computer help, just ideas, thanks
  11. i grew up in myerstown class of 86, lived across from the old schwinn bike shop at 501 and main st, it gone now, as for truck stuff i just like big power, just wish mack still made the v8 i know ive got trucking for another 15 years at least and if v8 stuffs hard to get now holy cow think 15 more years, so dont laugh im trying to plan ahead, im alright with the electronics it the emission stuff like egr scr dpf or what ever its called, id like to get around, thanks
  12. just thinking here, i have an mh frame i put an r model cab and a rs700l hood on some time ago planed to put a v8 in it, so just bare with me here i know the v8s cool but i not afraid to try something new so is it sacriligious to think about a mp10 in it. if vovlo is making 750 hp with the d16 so withonly 6deg, of seperation and a color change modern tec in old school raper, no egr and dpf or what ever its called, thanks
  13. yea just came out of mt. top and live just sout of hazelton, there is another in the area it white with the blue mack paint stripe setup, (stine trucking).
  14. the superliners mine and thats who i deliverd to in new haven exit 8 off of 91
  15. Reading your post i find my self forgetting i was young once, buy wanting to say stay in school go to college or trade school and dont buy a truck, unless its with the money you earn off the intrest you earned by having a good job. Now that the parent talk's over, I run my v8 every week like I said here before. If you don't abuse it , it is in the 6 mpg range, if its a head wind and you're trying to make time you're in the 4's. i think the harder thing is finding a v8 in an over the road chassie setup so you would realistically end up buying a daycab and have to make the truck you want, stretching frames adding air ride, rear rebuilds, and v8 parts are not cheap and getting harder to find. you will constantly be working onit w hile working to make money. it 's very hard if your not setup with some one to make consistant money, i like the b idea but id stay with a six for cooling a nice hot rodded 6 is as cool as an 8 any day, so in my opinion buy a late 90's early 2000 ch something or other make money and build your dream truck on the side, so good luck and keep us posted thanks,
