  1. I'll give that a shot. Well didn't think of that. I know mine have never been touched so that very well might be a problem. I wanted to inspect them. Man let me tell ya. Those eup have become more of a headache then anything on this truck lol no matter which way I go there is always something lol but luckily the light have never cam back on since then but I would really like to get my eyes on them to see the condition of the insides and put new orings and whatnot.
  2. Im going to be taking each eup out and inspecting them. Does anyone have the part numbers for new o-ring kit and new bolts and retaining screws and whatever else I should replace since I'm doing it. Thanks
  3. 05/06 when i was buying m CV713 i was told to stay away from the 370. i ended up going with a 375. my truck had a 6spd Allison auto. in the dirt/mud and around town/city driver my 375/allison would pull better then a 2001 CL713 460/8LL. only time the CL would out run me was getting up to highway speeds or over passing at high speeds. the CL would just pick up speed faster. the CL had 3.92 gearing and my CV had 5.02 gearing if i recall on both trucks.
  4. thats good to know. still odd more where not speced like this instead of the basic interior that most came with. i dont really care for power windows so i can understand not getting that. when i custom ordered my CV713 dump in 05/06 there was very little interior upgraded offered. cloth parts of the interior you could pick a few colors and dual air ride seats. CD player and gauges and power windows/locks. think that was about it for the inside. nothing like the CLs from back in the day going for a plain Jane to a decked out setup like my godfather had. be cool if they still did stuff like that. Pete and KW i know still do stuff like that.
  5. Don't elite trucks say they are? His didn't. Nor did I see many with that console opt. I have also seen many elite trucks without that red inside. I guess that's why I say it rare. He bought his brand new off the mack lot. His also had power windows. I see yours doesn't. That's odd. You would think with that inside power windows would be standard. And full gauge package.
  6. my godfather use to have a CL713 dump truck with this red interior. it was all decked out. other then the dash, every panel in the inside was different then a regular CL. even the headliner was not the same. had like 2 speakers on each cab corner (instead of one) and like 2 or 4 speakers in the headliner. his and hers map lights. also had this HUGE center center console that matched the rest of the inside and top part would open up and inside would be open to store stuff. it took up all the room between the 2 seats. never seen anther CL like it. no one seems to know much about that interior either. what was this opt called and why wasn't it offered on more trucks?? link to video showing a tracker with that interior im referring to since finding pictures of it is near impossible...
  7. this happened to me in 2 trucks. both times it was the switch.
  8. Little update- since the light only came on that one time. Was only one for a little bit. Not even couple hrs. It's never been on before or after that. Should I still replace it or woild it just be a false type thing?
  9. After a fast search it seems a alot of people don't stock it. Mine are orignal and never been touched or replaced. Guess I'm going to be calling people and seeing what they have. I haven't priced out one from mack yet either.
  10. Yea. Luckily it happen the day before I had to leave town so it's parked for now. Where do you guys usually buy your PAI stuff?
  11. thanks for the info guys. i also signed up for the PAI site to search the numbers. i have bought that brand before and it seemed like nice stuff. never engine parts tho.
  12. i didnt even know it was a problem until the light came on. truck still runs fine. do you have a link or part number for the PAI unit?
  13. had a 8-5 code flash the other day. code is for electronic unit pump #5 (2000 CL713 E7-427) what are the reasons for it go bad? are there ways to check the others? should i just replace that one or all?
  14. my new truck in 05 (auto 375hp cv713) was a pain in the first month as well but it was all stupid stuff like chrome on the bumper was pealing or power window switch broke or random malfunction light for no reason (stopped after the first month or 2). just have to work out a few bugs. the more shit the truck has the more crap can go wrong. thats why the older trucks had very little problems. nothing to break lol but i have to say all the newer trucks that people have that i work with doesnt seem to be that way. its always something. they seem to be very "sensitive" for lack of words. i own a 2000 CL713 427hp now and just the other day a malfunction light went on for the first time in years for a unit pump #5. 20 years old and 600k i think i can toss a new one in and not feel bad about it lol
  15. yea before the poly ones i never noticed a hopping problem. he also told me they install the poly ones for trucks that do hop with the rubber ones so thats what lef me wondering again if it should swap them or not. didnt want to do it and it didnt help.
  16. Not 100% sure on the wheel base. It's a cl713 tri axle dump truck with 16.5ft bed. And it would see the load is doing as you said but would what make it do it when unload? Should I swap the bushing the factory rubber ones and take the poly ones out?
  17. Ok little update to this. Taking a few notes while driving. Been driving like this for a good bit so I have just gotten use to things I guess lol First off it doesn't hop when loaded as I thought it did before. Alot my axles track very little bit that I can tell. Nothing crazy. Just enough to notice something happening but can't be 100% sure on since to see that happening I need to be looking put back the whole time while turning which isn't the smartest thing to do lol this is in a dump truck so I can't look out my down window and see the axles. Haven't checked for play/gap in the bushing yet. One woild think since very little movement is happening that there isn't any.
  18. I'll have to look tomm if there is a gap. Is there suppose to be one empty and loaded?
  19. tomm when i go to work im going to do my best to look at what the axles are doing and report back.... what are some reasons that would make the axles not track correctly when turning?
  20. no i dont have the old ones anymore. didnt think about keeping them at the time. this was a year ago if not more.
  21. ill have to take a good look next time to see how they are tracking. never really have taken a good look since this has been happening. when you say the "spring carriers" are you talking about the insulators that are in the clam shell at the end of the springs that attach them to the rear ends? if so. then yes those rubbers where replaced with the dark blue colored ones that are poly now.
  22. Can you go little more indepth on this?
