  1. Allen Distrabution out of Carlisle Pa is all Mack, Edger Herr a milk hauler out of Querryville Pa is all Mack, When HJ Culler was in business hauling milk based out of McConnelsburg Pa, they had a nice size fleet of mack Ch's and like 2 visions before they went out of business.
  2. We run a 2008 cxu613 mp/485 13spd with almost 100,000 miles on it and we love it. The truck runs 7 days a week rain, snow, or shine 250 miles a day. We've had some minor issues with the truck, but nothing thats made us dislike the truck or the dealership we work with, and foremost it's never been off the road for more than 2days for a repair. The regen and DPF has never been an issue for us. It's a very comfortable truck, the lighting on the gauges and switches are very nice. It runs and drives real smooth. So, so far we have no complaints, hopefully it continues to do a fine job for us and hopefully the 2010's work out fine too.
  3. Found a 2007 cxn 613 w/427 forsale, has 75,000 miles, not sure on price yet, but was wondering how the 07's were doing? any common issues on these? thank you in advance
  4. Great...thank you...is it true they want at least 5 people in your group to tour?
  5. I was wondering what the Macungie plant tour is like? Is it worth going? Thank you.
  6. Does Mack offer a split tank (like 70 gal. diesel and 30 gal. DEF) instead of that seperate black tank for the DEF. It would look muck nicer if they did a split tank kind of like the split fuel.hyd tanks.
  7. Installing a hook up lamp on our 2008 cxu. We bought the light and new switch panel that has the button for the hook up lamp. Dealer tells us there should be a wire or two somewhere around the clutch pedal that you hook a harness you buy through Mack that goes to the hook up light, or can we just connect two of our own wires to the ones under the dash and run them to the light? I already have the panel behind the seats out and the hookup light in the cab is installed, we just need to know what wires under the dash to connect to. The only two that is seen with plug ends on not being used is one that is labeled "bat aux" and one labeled "ign. aux" and then theres one that says "cxu only" "chu only" and "gu only", i'v installed the fuse for the hook up lamp, but there is no power at either of these wire ends. Any help will be great. Thank you
  8. What's on your mind?

  9. No, there going to Mellott Wood Preserving out of Needmore Pa., they bought two new day cabs like 6 months ago, and now these two. Think their updating before 2010 emissions. Very nice looking Macks. Notice the pedigree badge on the day cab.
  10. I was wondering that myself, there are two new mack pinnacles at the dealer in hagerstown but just one of them wear that pedigree 1000 badge. The trucks are identical the only difference is one has a sleeper, they were ordered in at the same time, both going to the same company.
  11. The cxu I run has 3.73 ratio w/13spd. Fuel mileage is around 5.8-6 mile per gallon, but we do alot of short running and stop and go. As far as power goes, I've ran a 14L 515 detroit before, and the 485 will run right with it if not better, very pleased with the power of this motor! Also impressed wth the DPF system so far. If you didn't know it was on the truck you'd never know its there.
  12. Our Cxu threw a fault code that is not in the manual. The code was MID 128 PPID 35 FMI 0. Could anyone tell me what this code stands for?
  13. The company i work for bought a 2008 cxu 613 back in May, and we are very pleased with it. The truck is a day cab with the 485 w/13 spd. eaton/fuller, duel pipes, dura brites, chrome bumper, red in color, upgraded interior. The only problem we've had is the EGR valve spread apart and was leaking oil, which the fix was a new EGR valve. The second problem was a vibration going through the gears. The fix for the problem was new shocks and motor mounts (dont' know if this was good or not?), but other than that the truck does not vibrate anymore and it runs awsome. The mp 8 has pletty of power, and the powerleash is great. The truck has 30,000 on it now and gets ran 7 days a week 365 days a year, about 250 miles a day hauling milk. As far as the DPF, if i didn't visually see it on the truck I would never know it is there. Just wanted to give my 2 cents about the new tech. and hopefully the truck continues to run great.
  14. Is it ok to straight pipe a 2004 cxn 613 with a 427? What i mean by "is it ok" is will it hurt the motor or anything like that. thank you
  15. I have been having an issue with my 2004 cxn613 w/427. The truck sometimes will loose its fuel prime. It can loose it over night, over a period of a few hours, and its even went almost a month before it lost prime. It has a Davco fuel filter. We have installed a new check valve in it, and checked lines for leaks. The problem is still there. Any suggestions will be greatly appriciated. thanks ryan
