  1. Now I need help. What year and location of manufacture is this tractor? I'm told this is the VIN number....according to the VIN locator on TractorData. Looks like it says B061729?? So with the B prefix....is this a Belgium tractor?
  2. Made the 15 hour round trip yesterday and got my new to me Ford 3000 home! Runs awesome. No smoke or noises. Has couple marks but it was a working tractor. The seller showed me videos of it pulling 8 or 10 foot discs on his farm field before he rebuilt it. Just need to get manuals and a headlight switch for it. The knob is missing. Has a couple nice touches. The headlights have LED accent rings around them and it has blue LED lights that light up under the hood and the engine. Just have to put the toplink back on it and the light switch and tie up some wiring better.
  3. I love that!!! There was a single axle R model gin pole truck in one of my old Canadian Bulldog magazines and I always thought it was a cool looking truck.
  4. Maybe their phones work like the libtards electric cars? They just magically charge with free energy.
  5. Gotta admit...I always wanted a Mack/Renault Magnum with an E9. I was so excited when they started talking about bringing them to North America with the electronic E9. But then along came Volvo.
  6. Yes, and now E-logs and all the hoops you have to jump through to keep a license once you hit 60. I heard in Ontario here they want to make it so you have to do a 2 day coarse to renew your air brake endorsement. BS
  7. It's real handy. Only does 25 MPH, but has heat, AC, radio and hydraulics and a PTO, but I don't use that for anything. But it's nice hauling dirt around the yard. When I'm working on my bush road/walking trail it's a lot quicker hauling gravel than doing one bucket at a time with tractor. And I'm REALLY lucky I got it in 2020 before the new "covid" price went into effect.
  8. May have got myself a present too. Waiting to see if I am going to pick it up this week. Just made a verbal deal on a fully restored 1974 Ford 3000 diesel tractor!
  9. Still miss trucking though.....pre 2000 trucking that is. My hats off to you guys that can still tolerate the industry today.
  10. Thanks everyone. And happy Birthday Mechohaulic! Been a strong month for birthdays here. You're kinda right Joey. I was always a Mack guy and I'm stubborn and bullheaded. Wish I had more Mack stuff to contribute on the forum but these days, this is the only trucking I am doing. It does have chrome Grote mirrors on it though! Just need a set of 5 inch straight pipes now.
  11. It looks like a cell phone. LOL
  12. Happy Birthday Back in Black. I still worship your truck!! LOL
  13. Yes, the wiring may be a headache. But I don't know. I had a friend with a Sterling dump truck with a pre-DPF 450 Mercedes in it that blew up. So he got a Series 60 Detroit for it. You would think that would be an easy swap seeing as how they are all Daimler products. And it ended turning into a nightmare and he just ended up selling it all.
  14. That doesn't even register in my world. Just like how China holds the record now for the world's largest cranes.....I think they are called zoom lion or something like that? WOULD YOU WORK UNDER ONE?? LOL Liebherr or Zoom Lion......Hmmmm, which one should I buy?? Bahahahaha
  15. Just saw this today. The new wide cab Pete. As much as I was never a Pete fan, and I didn't mind small cabs, I think this is about the nicest of all the new design trucks out today. They did everything right here, unlike Kenworth's W990 abortion. Long ALUMINUM hood, EXTERNAL BREATHERS, and all the old styling but with the big plastic cab all the new generation wants. LOL
  16. How are the Scania's holding up?
  17. Sorry, got names wrong. The engine is now the S13 and the transmission is now the T14. No longer the Maxxforce/N13/A26, LOL
  18. That's a nice fire truck! Big mill too! Speaking of these new engines......wonder how the new International A13 integrated powertrain is going to be? They are making big claims. Max 1850 torque at 900 RPM, no EGR, no active regens. And their new automated 14 speed trans with no gross weight limits. Wonder if this one will work this time?? LOL Hopefully they got more MAN and Scania working in these ones than the old MaxxFarce.
  19. I have some old Canadian Bulldog magazines and have seen a few steel nose R Models in them. Plus the RD, DM600/800 and RM's.
  20. That would be a cool truck. But now I'm even more depressed remembering how you could once have a choice of hoods on your Mack, center or offset cab, driven front axles, etc.
  21. I loved my mid rise. It was the perfect size for a logger/chip hauler/dump trailer application. Not overly big yet you could stand up in it and have a refrigerator and microwave in it.
  22. Well I don't know about Volvo getting better? Another blunder in my opinion.....why did they get rid of the mid roof sleeper on the new Pinnacles? There were far far many more mid roof equipped Mack's than the big high rises. Most Mack sleeper trucks were bought for regional stuff. This is about as stupid of a move as not offering it on the Titan.
  23. That's what I was wondering, is if they still had all the injector cup issues? They seem to pull well for their size? As for the Detroit DD's only thing I had fail is the idler pulley assembly for the belts. They were $800 Canadian and plan on replacing one or two in a 5 year span. I did have LOTS of regen issues on the 2013 but found out around 2019 it was mostly caused by the dealer. Previous times they were troubleshooting emission issues with a test light poking wire harnesses, which then corroded. But that 2013 did not like winter cold. regen every 8 hours. The 2020, though I only drove it two summers and a winter before I quit trucking, never had any kind of issue. Seemed way better as far as emission system functioning.
  24. WOW!!! I LOVE that F......even the colors!!!
  25. Ours is X15 Performance 525 (yes, underpowered for what we do on our 15% hills), 18 speed, 4.56 rears on 24.5 rubber and 52,000 rear Neway suspension and 20,000 front. I just found in 5,000 km it has already become a rattle trap. And the 20,000 front axle is a Paccar....and I don't know if it has different geometry than other brands of front steer axles but this is the worst handling/feeling truck I have ever driven. The front end never feels "connected" to the road and the steering is very heavy even with dual steering boxes. The interior has good fit and finish and the plastics and upholstery feel better quality than most, but everything is squeaking and rattling already. And what's with the armrests on the seats? They seem to be made for people with half length arms, LOL I remember the mine manager was so proud when he presented that thing to me and I told him "you got ripped off because I have twice the truck sitting in my driveway at home that I got for same price you paid." LOL
