  8. Most likely. That's dairy country. Brenner tanks frequently serve a second life in fire departments in that area after many years of hauling milk. Being stainless, they often outlive the original chassis. My old FD up there (1982-1986) bought a 1971 International/Brenner 0/4000 from a raw milk transporter in 1982, adding baffles and dump and fill valves, racks for hard suctions, compartments below the tank on each side and replacing the dome with a flat cover so it would fit in the firehouse. We repainted the cab and chassis and added lights and siren. When done, we had $16,000 in the whole project. Since than, it has been transferred to a 1992 Ford LTL and again to a 1998 Pete. It's still in service.

  11. Congratulations!
  12. Thanks for the compliment, but this IS a Mack site and I have already posted all my Mack fire apparatus on here. I was simply adding a few pics to a few specific threads on a specific chassis. With all the crap going on in the odds and ends section, I'm half tempted to delete ALL my posts and leave!
  13. And look what happened to Hank's!

  15. The majority of Magnum 480 twin agent units went to airports, at least in their first life. The New Haven rig originally protected the Tweed - New Haven Airport. The last rig served TIMCO Industries in Lake City, FL, a company that refurbishes airplanes, located at the Lake City Airport.
  16. The two agents are independent of each other. The operator can choose the premixed foam or the dry chem or use some of both at the same time, all depending on the situation. There is no pump on these rigs, the agents are expelled using compressed nitrogen, sort of like a big fire extinguisher.
  17. Marketed by the Ansul Company, this was their "Magnum 480" model, carrying 300 gallons of premixed water/foam and 1350 pounds of dry chemical agent.

  20. The US Air force designated this style an A/S-32P-18. I have photographed 11 of them, in several paint schemes, at various bases around the US. This one serves a civilian FD after being surplussed. Tanker 2, Pumpkintown, SC 1988 International Paystar/KME 500/2000 6x6
  21. I never noticed this thread until a couple hours ago. I have photographed a handful of Paystars over the years, but all have been in service with fire departments. Tanker 71, Carova Beach, NC 2007 International Paystar/Progress Water Master 650/4000 6x6
