  1. Thanks for the advice. Let you know how I make out tomorrow. Sold my RB today and already miss it so see what happens. Logtruckman this rd is set up just like your cl Same style log body with serco on the rear. It is red so most people wouldn't even know i changed trucks.
  2. Yeah Live moose here are a real issue. I know an owner operator that has been in at least 10 moose collisions with a ch. Twice were very serious collisions. One moose came over hood and wiped out whole cab and sleeper and another drove up on animal lost steering and rolled over in ditch. Now hew has a moose bumper and they bounce off. never mind the moose how bout that 95 RD with 30000 hours. Leaving at 4 am to look at it 5 hours away
  3. I think he is second or third owner so history is vague. I will try to find out more. By the way the dead moose are easy on the truck, it's the ones live and kickin ones that are hard on it.
  4. I am going to look at a 95 rd688 with e7 350 mechanical engine. 13 speed trans. Truck is used in logging industry so probably a hard life. Mileage is 380000 and hour meter reads little over 30000 hours.. Owner doesn't seem to know much history of truck. vin 1m2p267c8smo22752 Would these engine hours scare you? Thanks in advance for advice. Justin
  5. Someday I will figure out how to post pics but until then I will rely on you guys. The bull was 900 lbs this past October and the cow being loaded in my pickup was 2 years ago. She was about 600lbs. Thanks Olivetroad
  6. I send pics from cell to my email. Instead of typing in phone number type in e-mail address
  7. Olivetroad I tried e-mailing you a few pics of my log truck but not sure if you got them (sorry to hijack)
  8. all cylinders have lock valves on my loader because I was told it has a motor spool. I also tried taking lock valves off main boom to speed up operation and boom just falls on its own. I believe I could change spool valves at joysticks but was told I would risk valves leaking because they are machined to each valve bank. Not sure if it's true but didn't need to spend extra money either. I will get some pics for you tomorrow.
  9. Not sure of model grapple but it is a wide rotobec pulp bucket continuous rotation. I did have to put a lock valve inline because forks had one on it so you might want to check that otherwise grapple will open on its own. I loaded a tractor trailer load of veneer and I don't load many trailers. Driver said it was smoothest loader he has seen and I told him it was because it was so slow. At least no one gets hurts thrashing. I wish I could post pics I have plenty with the truck loaded but I have trouble with pics here.
  10. I Have a prentice Telestik drywall loader and put a rotobec grapple on it. Been in service for 5 years and hauls wood daily (Mack 93 RB690). Only down side is slow and heavy. Empty weight is 36000 and others are 32000. Very strong compared to other loaders and a lot tighter.
  11. Try replacing circuit breaker. My rb was giving me all kinds of electronic issues with headlights, heater, and fog lamps. Turned out to be weak circuit breakers.

  13. Bonecrusher works for a different company. From what I hear Pelletiers aren't the easiest to work for. Always crying poor on TV, imagine working for them as they drive up in new a new pickup to say they can't afford anything. I don't think those pull trucks are a cheap hobby.
  14. I Saw the titan at the mill a couple weeks ago so one is still on the road. Also saw another owned by Comstock Woodlands but didn't have time to get a picture. Good looking rig though.
  15. I don't post very often but I had to say I just peed my pants. Thats the funniest story ever written!
  16. Thank you guys That's what it was. Thankfully I didn't pull steering box off Yikes!
  17. not sure what you mean by slip out of time. I think it is every 1/2 turn
  18. Anybody had problems with steering box's. I have 93 rb and it developed a hard spot on each revolution of wheel. I thought it was u-joint in steering shaft and replaced both. Took it for test drive today and it's worse. On the verge of dangerous. Seems strange it is in exact same position of wheel and steering shaft on each turn of wheel. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance Justin
  19. rhasler, I took my cac to a local shop and when they pressurized it and dipped it in a tank the leak was 1/2 way up one side about 12 inches long. They said they couldn't fix it. Not sure what is involved so had to take their word for it. Their price was about $1050 for replacement and I have seen them as low as $500 online. I will look into duralite as well. Thanks Justin
  20. I have a 1993 rb690 with a 300hp in need of a charge air cooler. Leaks bad took it to a shop today and said it needed to be replaced. Any opinions on aftermarket units. There are a lot out there with a variety of prices. Thanks Justin
  21. I chased a headlight issue for weeks. Headlights would work then breaker would shut off cool down and lights would come back on. I was sure I had a short and finally replaced breaker and haven't had a problem since. That happened on heater and fog light relays as well on a 93 RB
  22. I Have a 93 300hp with factory engine brake. Doesn't work nearly as well as jake on same vintage truck with 400hp.
  23. I would be smiling too if it were my truck. Looks real good. Someday I will post a few pics of my 93 rb with a load of wood.
  24. Thanks for the tip Rob and I will try to work on my welding abilities soon as I need to build a new log body for the truck..
