  1. Early 70's r model i believe had a double frame and wasn't a converted tractor. Haul 80,000 for 40 years and bones are bound to break. I got info second hand.
  2. Think this old R model might need some frame work.
  3. I am somewhat interested in truck in that neck of the woods and wanted to see if someone would be interested in looking at it for me. Best thing to do is e-mail me and I can give you contact info. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would glad to reimburse someone for their time. Also any advice on a long distance deal like this would help. Pretty long haul from Maine to South carolina Thanks Justin email lorainelmt@yahoo.com
  4. HO Bouchard has couple on Golden road haulin BIG LOADS.
  5. Logtruckman Next time your in Maine swing by www.eaglelodgemaine.com Olive I think that ad was this month front page just print no pictures.
  6. Looks good Saving my pennies for your CL for sale. Saw it on front page of Lumbermen's equipment magazine
  7. I like that set up. I would like to see a 20,000 lb moose too but I think I would run the other way. Thanks for the info. Justin
  8. Olive, So what's the combined weight there? How big is your trailer and is that a 1 ton or a 5500. Just curious because my skidder weighs a little less and wondered if I could safely move it with a bumper tow trailer behind a 1 ton. Looks like it was a fun trip for you guys and glad you kept cool. Justin
  9. That's the answer! I should buy a new one so I can see it roll down the assembly line, that would be cool. Think I could get a Titan for around 40K? Kidding aside I am sure Logtruckman will appreciate this. someday!
  10. Thanks Olivetroad I haven't seen that auction site and will have to keep checking their trucks.
  11. Thanks Rob I cruise a lot of truck, fishing, hunting, and forestry sites and this one has to be the best as far as people offering to help.
  12. Rob I might go that route. If I get serious about the CL down south I figured I might post to see if someone could look at it for me. It sure would be cheaper than a plane ride.
  13. Yup Still Mackless. On the hunt. Logtruckman's family has some perfect candidates but I have to make sure I can make the payments first. I am looking at a 2002 RB as well cab and chassis that I can build the way I want. Issue with that truck is Canadian spread rear axle is hard on sharp turns jockeying around. We will see I am not in a big hurry because I won't need the truck until Fall for the moose hunt. (Just kidding). I also found a CL with a serco loader in Mississippi but not sure how I could make that happen. I Like hunting for trucks but I don't like when they are 2000 miles away.
  14. Ahhh Tatro I saw the Western Star on Truck Paper. I was gonna ask if that was your truck.
  15. That is a nice unit but a little more than I can spend. I look forward to seeing some pics of Logtruckman CL.
  16. Rob problem too is cell phone photos are such bad quality that everything looks good. This rd I looked at had a brand new trunion but yet he didn't know it had bad frame rust? Photos looked good oh well.
  17. Olivetroad The trip was ok being with my dad and it was comfy in my wifes new grand cherokee. Glad it has cruise control because speed is very difficult to sense. All of sudden look down and speedo says 90 not good. Logtruckman that CL is right up my alley. Not sure I can afford it but I will try. Is it advertised online somewhere with pics or email me at lorainelmt@yahoo.com. Pics and specs would be great. I got an idea you are more than 5 hours from maine. Thanks Justin
  18. Well I am officially MACKLESS My RB is sold and The rd I looked at had too many issues. It was a bad sign when I pulled in and saw that it had an air ride cab sagging low in the back. I said "nice it has an air ride cab" and he said "no it doesn't it has been that way since I bought it 2 years ago". I said "see that little deflated airbag that means it is an air ride cab that hasn't worked for years" and so I proceded to find air leaks, compressor would build to at least 150 psi, frame rust spreading rails almost 1 inch but I asked before I drove 5 hours south and he said "oh the frame is nice and tight" and "the truck is mint". I really don't think he knew it was a double frame or much else. No coolant in resevoir and engine didn't look factory to me. I would say engine was replaced or done at some point but no one knows for sure. I wish i had researched difference between e6 and e7 because it had some different features than my rb with an e7 oh well. He said he would drop 1000 dollars so i didn't even risk offering him anything and insulting his immense knowledge of trucks. On the plus side i did like the serco loader and ran that and would be happy with one. It was also a nice day with my father along for the ride. OH btw I saw lucerne tractor headed southbound Good Looking Rig!
  19. Thats is a sweet mackabuslogtruck but if i got up this early to go look at something that looks like that it will be along ride home for my father who will be my passenger. Sad thing is this website is addictive enough that I got up even earlier then i needed to just see what Hatcity had to say. Have a good day see you tonight!
  20. During mud season we load close to the road and that week you had your excitement I was loading under wires and your post reminded me to be careful Thanks Hatcity
  21. That Rotobec on your truck Hatcity is a beauty but this truck and loader is less than just your loader. It does have a rotobec bucket though.
