  1. god that was a cool plant they put the trucks inside had a big bulldog emblem on the front of the building it was down from us steel which aint here any more eitherthts pretty cool
  2. or they put it too low.somebody didnt give em the revised print. damn shame all the big guys are just about gone.miss seeing all those r and rd s working.even more cool when i was a kid there was a ready mix co on collins st that had b model mixers THAT was cool to watch them .i think the co was called newkirk concrete
  3. yeah they must of had that many cause here in joliet when they did rt 30 they had about 40 plus mixers rd s . one time in 2001 at chicago mack i saw 20 new rd s and the window sticker said "ganna specs"if i find that pic i ll post it.i thnk when they redid rt 30 here in joilet thats what put em down they didnt get the revised print and they where 8 " too high plus they pulled up a gas main

  6. that r jones pulled up next to me on 355one day about a year ago while i was going up to mundeline and i about tapped da car in front of me !! it looked like it just rolled out of the dealer.it is a very beautiful truck that blue and chrome really pops in the sun

  8. hey how about greco construction and rossi they were mack i think too.at one time boughton material had old b81 from greco they unded in the pit to move the cruchers aroun "downstairs'i know its not a r but it was awesome!!a guy in kankakee has a sweet r model for sale in the truck paper 85new clutch and engine gone thru its a 300.tryin to talk my bossinto buyin it for pullin the dump.my wife asked me why i love those r models so much nad i said they were like her built heavy dutyso you know THAT went ovr well LOL
  9. that McCook pit was and still is a nightmare!and a lot of those in there dont under stand english.was on one of our jobs in oakbrook and saw the harrys truck drive by with our stone 4 times!!! while i unloaded equip.man our foreman was pissed!!

  14. I loved the frameless bulbils i pulled never worried about tipping over then da boss got a 1/4 frame derizen and then a 1/4 frame r/s it was junk hoist area kept cracking so kept the 01derizen

Yea miss those good old r and superliners and rd s don't forget those heavy derizen trailers love this thread and all those nice pics I drove a78 with the 2 stick and 88with the 12speed still see the 88around the an01 rd now an 05 granite should live in the now BUT those old dogs. That's when work was fun! Lol
