  2. Huh my 05granite has an18000 front axle and in the center of the axle is stamped Mexico wonder why ?axle made in Mexico and assembled her in USA?

  8. man i was working at the old skelly truckstop in plainfield when this overdrive magazine came out and i saw this pic and thats when got the mack fever.fixin tires and oil changes thats when i really waned to drive .local construction hired me to drive a ford hey was a start. remember i wanted to work for a company called stellman trucking in plainfield he had 7 or 8 mack s.he hauled for prairie alot.
  9. wow you guys out east have wild weight laws.in ill i can gross 50000 on a tamdem dump. 3400 on tandem 2000 on single but i dont have the bridge to carry 54000.in indiana the run tri axle and quad axle .wish illinois would allow tri axle dumps.are roads are already crap.but our bridges are worse.love all those swett dump pics!

Yeah but The o/o they use now suck.run junk and can't speak can't call them owner operators cause they don't take pride in there trucks half the time you can't even see the taillights for the mud but that's what the pits want ok I'm off my soapbox I love this thread them old macks built Chicago and the rest of the usa

  15. the granite palumbo die cast 4 axle lowboy tractor and talbert 3 axle tralier sold on e bay for 475.00
  16. get to drive a cat 725 or 740 some time they ride pretty good at least you can brace your left leg to keep from flyin around the cab.in a terex35not old one po rides for shit miss my camel back .beter to use the off road in the crap thenmy o5 granite lts of mud and knee deep water.

  19. yeah they must of had that many cause here in joliet when they did rt 30 they had about 40 plus mixers rd s . one time in 2001 at chicago mack i saw 20 new rd s and the window sticker said "ganna specs"if i find that pic i ll post it.i thnk when they redid rt 30 here in joilet thats what put em down they didnt get the revised print and they where 8 " too high plus they pulled up a gas main
