If you have a solo clutch, best thing to do is R&R it with an easy pedal clutch first time you have a problem with the solo clutch.

Over the years I’ve had 5 of them from 74-80, last 1 I put a pretty good 454 in, it was a very fun truck. Motor & drive train is still in the family, my nephew found my old 75 K5 that I had & it’s in it now.

I didn’t think so but didn’t really know about that body style years as much as the other 70’s style.
Was told it was a weight issue.

The 396 big block was available but a 427 more than likely was installed at the dealer level.
But were they available in 1/2ton 4X4?

Ole Ozzy had probably had some good smoke. I’m sure he didn’t mind the bill, he just got another toke.

I like to tell it like it is, some dudes gotta have a long hood to make up for lacking in the package dept. big joke around here with the big heavy haulers, they run around with the 4th axle down even with a D5 on, empty trailers with yellow lights and oversize load sign on, then wonder why no one pays attention to warning lights, we like to play dumb and have the know it all give the big talk on their big load, even had drivers tell us about the big load in the yard and it was ours ?? there is those that do it and them that wanna.
Yea, I like the roll back car haulers with nothing on & lights a flashing. Even if loaded they don’t need them on unless loading or working a wreck. Freaking lights will blind you. We got dump trucks that’s got lights flashing if it’s running unbelievable. Makes people get where they don’t pay attention when they need to.

That’s amazing.
Don’t believe it could happen in this day

You say mid 50’s. That’s before my time but that car sure looks like some sort of 60’s model?? Someone can probably tell what it is. Cool picture.

I tried finding if he had other health problems by googling but didn’t find anything. The latest picture I saw of him, he didn’t look real healthy. I really liked most of his songs. RIP

I’ve had good luck with the pittsburgh jacks from hb & I abuse them & that’s why I buy them, $$$$ and 3miles from me. I’d get the hb 1 & wrap a chain around it good & tight (I use all thread to get tight) & watch & be careful. Especially if you don’t use 1 much. Sure if I found a deal on a good otc I would get it. I’d rather have the cheap hyd. than the manual 1, if not using it much.
