These tires seem to be a used truck dealer's delight. I've spoken with a lot of folks that have tried the brand, and have not been happy with either durability, or longevity.
I appreciate everyone's opinion and think I'm going to go with a better tire. My stuff is always inside unless being used so dryrot and UV breakdown is not near as prevelant as something sitting out of doors always. Don't really mind spending the bucks to get top quality tires but the end use is a big player.
Thanks,
Rob

The B or C never had a turbo. It was a end 864 but the ENDT cme out in 67 maybe late 66. It was a twin turbo. The first twin turbo as i was told that left the factory was in a F700.I rrmember very well the first one sold here. It was a different sound but had fuel pump problems until the V serials was released. The B615 was a END 864 with a very small oil pan for axle spacing.
i have one of those f models had 2 turbos 2 breathers extra gauge console got it off the orginal owner

I always vaccum (or vacuum?) the housing out on mine if there's any crap left in it when I take out the filter. Figgerd if I took the air hose to it it'd blow crap down towards the turbo. When I had the Mack I'd usually change it twice a year...'new' truck has 2 filters on it-shit ain't cheap!
that little mack filter is a whole lot cheaper than them 2 big ol peterbilt filters aint it but hay at least you got a pete right

I think Cummins will still remain a player, though likely in a lesser role than in the past, and mainly as a supplier of some of the engine subsystems such as turbos and DPFs.
the new mack is easier to work on than any of the others

Southbound,
I am not too far away in eastern PA if you want to take a Sunday ride! Always happy to show off my F model and talk trucks with friends old & new. I am at Macungie & Lititz PA shows every year too.
I don't want to give out too many details until it happens, but I am trying to "adopt" another F model as well...
Gregg

OH GOD if the drivers of Today were in a cab over I would say the Drivers death rates would double! I really feel bad for the good ones out there. they just stay quiet and dont interact like they used to. Seams the last few years I cant even get a bear report or a reply even after I give one. I rarely get a flash of the lights after I pass a truck at night.
im all for macking the cabover again after worcking on this new junk every day the motor is so far back under the cab the cabover would be a whole lot easer to work on

There's a Beautiful Black 1988 Superliner in Washington State E-9 400 T-2090 Standup/Walkin all aluminum, Turbo wing, Merrit headache rack/boxes all decked out for grabs. It has been sitting for 2 years and only started once in the last year and the sleeper boot and roof have been leaking. I got her down to $9000 on it, I just don't have the time or patience to take thing apart and go through it all. if any of you might be interested I can forward you about 50 pictures of it. She's wanting to sell it real bad because they're tired of paying storage on it. I got them down from $13,000 I don't think they'll go any lower but you never know.
yes send me the pictures my email rw613@comcast.net

"The VHD was created by the NRV team to add to the Volvo customer plant visit experience. The pick-up truck was built with restored Volvo parts, and powered with an EPA 2010-certified Volvo D13 engine and I-shift transmission. The five- seat truck showcases American craftsmanship while providing customers with the ability to experience Volvo truck comfort combined with ease of operation when utilizing the Volvo powertrain."
Would have been cooler if it were a Mack.
just 1 question why why why
