i think hes doing the mack crowd proud. there are things i wouldnt do to my truck but i like what he did to his, alot of love and hard work. at least is not a pete or kw.
yes that is the best part for dam sure

Mack corporate should be sponsoring these truck customizers so we have more than one Mack truck entered. In the motorcycle biz, Polaris is sponsoring many of the Victory custom bikes you see in the shows and bike mags- they supply the bike gratis to the customizer and pay for accessories like the Motorvation sidecars too.
there were plenty macks at the show 2010 but they wernt even considered this is not a working truck show they keep a few spots open for locals but for petes and kws

Well I'm offended!!! I wanted his ass dragged throught the street of my town! The Moosies are up set?? Boo Hoo too bad. Our people in power and the media are offended? tough!!! They are the people who spit on me when I came home from over seas in 1972 and now worry about us being the evil Americans. Got a flood or famine? tuff sh*t Got pirates? oh well to bad. Pakistan wants us out Good! give the money we give them to our people. Palastine joins up with hamas....Cut them loose too.
The damn country here run like a kids T Ball game. Everybody gets a hit , every body gets an award and nobody gets offended. Work for it like I do, you fail...start over.
Sorry for the rant but being lowered from the "Ugly American" as we were know in the 50's and 60's to now being known as the "poor stupid offencive American" just galls me. Paul

if your getting that much MPG with a V8... I say dont change a thing! A MH with that much of a wall would not be helping you. The golden number is 55MPH. It seams that when you go over 55MPH wind and HP become big factors for wind resistance and power needed to pull thru it. My little turned up 285 gets 5.5MPG empty or loaded. all city miles....
guys i hate to tell you this but a mh is more aero than a superliner accordin to the goodyear rep cabover the wind mackes one bend hood it mackes several bends we get about the same with our mh as long as you dont get to puttin it on the kitty cats to bad

Trent we have a 69 r700 with a 318 detroit in it my true first love

Anybody know if you can still get the big superliner bumbers with the tow pin in the center? I have two trucks with these on them, one nice, one not so nice. The standard bumbers with two small tow pins won't bolt up. Thanks Rich
is your truck a hevy duty if it is the one im thincking about hendrickson still makes that bumper

The Truckload Carriers Association has adopted a new policy in favor of electronic logging and will support the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's proposed near-universal mandate for electronic onboard recorders (EOBRs) to track driver hours of service.
"In essence, the statement is basically that we support the mandatory use of electronic logging devices," said TCA President Chris Burruss.
well i guess we know those bastards are for the big freight companys i wounder how much money was given for that

never had that shaft out of a R cab but I know you can access the back of them thru the glove box or speedo/tach panel. I would be suprised if it was press fit I would think that it has a sleve that the shaft rotates in and the shaft uses the splined nuts back side to keep the shaft from moving in and out of the sleve. ???
if it is like a rd the whoule thihg

congratulations on your find and saving one more from the scrapper. any history on the G.
yes a little history i now a little history on your truck to it was at our shop one time

Any major issues with these trucks( camshaft, turbo, rocker shafts) have probably been done already on a truck with that many miles, Maybe even overhauled.
My own truck is a 2000 CX with a E-tech 427 with 1,170,000. No surprises. Good reliable runner with regular maintenance I have had since new, no overhaul yet, original transmission & rears.
If the truck you are considering looks clean and well maintained, miles are not an issue. In the long run, a 2001 or older (pre EGR) would be a wise choice. I have no plans to replace my 2000, as I see nothing in the current marketplace any more reliable.
