I am in the process of converting this truck to a dual exhaust.  Cab is a solid mount non airside. I measure the vertical stack mounts from the inside frame flange out on both sides.  Both are at 26 to center. Tacked the dr side on and have to pass side clamped. The drivers side is 1 inch closer to the cab than the pass side.  The cab mount that rests on the bar at the bar is 1 inch closer to the inner edge of the vert bracket than the pass side.  The hood and cab line up great. Should I be concerned or just move it 1 inch to match pass side.

That's what they wanted for that tank. Huh

I do plan on doing a hundred or so spot welds.  I've seen the demonstrations and I'm not quite convinced enough to go ahead spend the cash on the epoxy and special gun when I have a welder on hand.  A friend used the 3m epoxy to attach a hood scoop on his pu.  Why he didn't use 3m double sided tape is beyond me but anyways the scoop wasn't on long.  Not to be mean but I'm glad it didn't hold, the scoop downright wrong.

Are the rear rain gutters still available?

I'm getting ready to reskin the roof on my r model. My question is do I need to cross race the cab to keep it from twisting once the roof skin is removed.  The doors are off the truck so all that weight is removed.  I've done several hot rod chops and have always braced them but there seems to be quite a bit of structural steel around the doors connecting front and rear panels.

Saw a guy with a load like that go around an on ramp a bit to fast and the load shifted so much they had to bring a forklift on another flatbed and restack it right on the ramp. He didn't make it 3 miles from the shipper.  Nice work shoring it up.

R model bumper.  Looks to be aluminum but painted black.  It has some dents and a tear at a bolt hole.  50.00 if you want it.  Can bring to macungie also.

This is off subject but so you know who bought the cruise liner with a  v8 in it from the cogen plant in Mcadoo?

I have used the universal painless wiring harnesses before. They are very well made and for what you get a great price.  I would measure the distance from where you plan to mount the fuse panel to the rear of the truck and to the front.  Just to be sure the harness will be long enough to reach your rear tailights and turn signals.

I will be there.  What do the pyrometers usually sell for? I have not looked into it yet.

Does anyone have any closeup pictures of a cab mounted luberfiner for an r model or superliner? I am curious to see what the mounts look like and how they clear the cab vent. Any help would be well appreciated.

What is the purpose of those spacers on the front hub?  

Doesn't the value liner have a straight frame, and the r and superliner have a frame that spreads from the tanks forward.  Maybe that's why the box is outside the frame.

I'm looking for some r model parts. A cross member. I think anything back from the spread will work. Also a tan fuse box cover ,a Mack pyrometer, and a 1980's radio.

Pbp 33-002 was the one that I bought. The measurements that they had posted matched the one on my truck.

I just purchased one from niuparts. It's chromed plastic. We will see the quality or lack there of pretty soon.

The canister pictured is on a ntc 290 cummins truck. It has a site glass and hoses that t off into the heater hoses, then proceeding to a canister that I was told was a coolant heater. There is a hose currently disconnected. Do I actually need this canister and the coolant heater or can I eliminate them. Truck is only used for show.

Can anyone tell me if the aftermarket chromed plastic grill shells are garbage? I see them for sale and have been cautious because of cracking and flaking issues.

It worked fine for 10 miles then went back to building right to 150.

There was a valve on the air dryer, almost like a turkey timer that would pop up and release some air but nothing from the went tank.
