The electricity is kinda a must have these days
Best get it sorted
Mind you, as Joey suggests, they arent that dear to buy new these days
I do like my old CS Listers, still made new today in India
CS is cold start
Start them when it's freezing with a crank handle just fine
They do about 650 rpm full noise
They had them on farms all over Australia, right up into the 90's in the more remote regions and probable still do have them
They just chug away
I had 2 cylinder ones on 8 inch irrigation pumps, chug chug chug, 24 hours a day
Twice a day pull the rocker cover off and squirt some more oil in
They are good motors and diesel as well

Do you want me to see if I can get you one of these new and pop it in the mail to you ?
I have done things like this before for people on here
Australia seems to have better access to this stuff new than the U.S.

Yes the replacement from PAI is fine
There is a gasket, or is it a '0' ring ??
Dunno it's been years now since I have had one apart
I find the holding clamp comes undone when driving down the road
Try doing it up a little tighter and it strips
Anyway the long and the short of it is I cracked the shits and make up my own clamp and it never comes undone

Do you know where those air lines from the puff limiter go?
Sorry, I thought I explained that
The one with the badly drawn red circle goes to the little air ram on the injector pump that limits travel until you get boost or are out of reverse and 1st gear
The green line goes to the fear box, reverse and 1st gear doohickie
The uncircled line is the air supply to the puff limiter doohickie
To be honest I only looked at these for a few minutes and relied on my memory

But wait theres more
So were do these air lines go
Green circled airline goes to the gear box, reverse, first
Red circled airline goes to the injector pump rack
Now crusieliner 64 Paul
This looks like a simple piston type of deal, I can see bleed holes etc to let air out and or in
Yours should be a piece of piss to fix over a few pints of your favourite larger
Bellow is the air line to my boost gauge
Hang on I'll zoom in on this
Dunno if any of this helps, bit old mate the sorted your motor has jiggered up the plumbing department
Licensed to thrill your missing a (as the younger set say out here) "a shit ton of boost"
I wonder if the breather is for a cab over type of deal, possibly a garbage truck
Dunno if this helps or not
But everything is a bonus
While sorting the pics I spied this a wee distance away
Yeah a boom of a crane, woopty bloody do Paul
Okay a bit more, fresh meat lol
Not a cool power, but still cool enough

Okay, a cracker of a day so had a captain Cook
Now remember my truck has the steering wheel on the correct side unlike the U.S. trucks
I only mention this because our trucks might be plumbed a little different
The breather on the rocker cover on mine has no holes for hoses, it does have spots cast into it
and the casting numbers

Thanks. If your engine dies NOT have that hose I would be interested in what it has in the two ports that this hose is useing.
I finished late last night and it was pissing down with rain this morning
I'll check tonight and report back, if mine doesn't have the hose I'll check my mates as his R600 has never been apart from new, only 400,000 km from new, still very original

This is a 1980 vintage E-350 econodyne. Pretty common engine so there should be someone with one that could compare. The guy I got the engine from was kinda haywire so no telling what may have been changed. I bought the engine trans (twin stick 6 speed) out of the same truck as a unit only to discover much later that the engine being an econodyne snd the trans a maxi torque that they are not compatible.
I will have a look tonight and see what I find
Will report back

If it's any consolation, Mazda gearboxes have been crap since they first arrived in this wide brown land
Even today they still don't have their shit sorted
Dunno how to put it politely, Mazda make shit transmissions, rest of the car/SUV/ute is fine

Also stops the diesel washing the oil fron the bores and extends engine life
It does make them less revy and slower to respond until boost developed, however the benefits out way the apparent increase in performance

They pulled them (weeping willows) out in Australia as the choke our stream and rivers
We had them on the farm but drought and laser leveling sorted them out
