Taylor is not accepting new clients with old trucks, they quit. I tried them first about a year ago. I do have gulfway though. It is written through Travelers insurance.Gulfwayinsurers@aol.com or 727-863-5451

This issue is like fine wine. It doesnt matter how cheap the wine is, as long as you like the taste. If you can jack up the front end and spin the wheel it will probably be easier to paint. That is how they paint the silver rims at UPS. With a foam paint brush

I will soon show you guys some pictures that will make you all jealous as hell. I even have a witness!!!!!!!!More soon!!!

From one of the picures posted I see the plate on the passenger side door. Get the serial # off it and send it to the Mack museum to see what year it actually is.That same # is stamped into the rh side frame rail under the fender area too, among other places. Roll up your sleeves and prepare to get filthy!

Where the support hooks to the cab on a b-model will eventually wear out that area. Make a brace weld ,it and be proud. It will also reduce the vibration in the cab!

You probably dont need a CDL to drive a truck or tractor. The B-model itself probably does not weigh enough to make a CDL mandatory. It is determined by weight. Check your state laws and have proof of what your truck weighs. (Scale it at your local truckstop)If you begin to pull a trailer tht may be a different issue.

Find a PPG dealer and have them get out the briefcase with all the color chips in it. You will be astounded with all the shades of green or any other color you see

I took a piece of the interior door to my local ppg paint shop. The closest I could come to it was Delfleet green metallic #413850. It is dead on it!!!!!

I think that green Mack is an EHU model.

I have a 673 oil pan ,it wont fit the maxidyne. I also have the 237 in my 1964 B615, but I didnt put it in there and dont have the expertise to do it anyway. If there is a picture or other question I can help you with let me know-Bobby

I really enjoyed all the pictures. They tell a story. You will be surprised how different that truck will look after you start in on it!!

I haven't done diamond plate, but I have done the radiator and headlight panels on my B615. Use sandpaper of a fine grit (150) and do it again finer. Followup with some metal polish and buffer or dremel if you have one. You can see my pictures on my gallery

Don't fprget to check out the BMT gallery for pictures where you can contact the owners too!

The 707 engines that I have seen were all in firetrucks

I have powersteering on my 1964 B-615 too. The hydraulic cylinder was leaking and has been rebuilt. (not reinstalled yet) The gearbox under the drivers side fender area is next to have the seals redone any advice for me here?

Getting something for free will drive some men crazy!

I hear that it will stay.
The people who are on this website have the Macks that made the company worth owning!

Paint it Pink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will check that out. It should be easy to tell if the wire is saturated with coolant. Thank you
I have driven many CH model macks @ UPS . There is a sensor in the coolant tank which may not be covered up with coolant. Check the coolant level in both top and bottom tanks!

Mack to Consolidate U.S. Production in Macungie, PA, Assembly
LEHIGH VALLEY, PA (June 25, 2009) – Mack Trucks, Inc. today announced that the company will move forward with its previously announced plan to consolidate production of its entire product line at its assembly facility in Macungie, PA.
The plan involves transferring assembly of Mack highway vehicles from the plant in Virginia's New River Valley to Macungie, where Mack's construction and refuse trucks are assembled, to take advantage of efficiencies arising from consolidated assembly, and to create a brand-unique environment for Mack customers.
The company expects to begin the transfer in September 2009 and complete it by the end of November 2009, during which period there will be a gradual production ramp-down in NRV and a corresponding ramp-up in Macungie.
Due to the prevailing market conditions, the company expects that rather than adding personnel in Macungie, it will instead support the increased production by reducing the number of down weeks. The transfer is expected to result in an employment reduction at the NRV plant, which will continue to produce Volvo Trucks North America's entire product range, but it is too early to quantify the impact.
Build 'em near where they were born in Mack country!

As far as I know all even numbered B-model Macks all had gas engines. Fire trucks are an exception to this rule.

Go to yourPPG dealer and have them get out their color wheel. There is a 10% discount coupon in the new Wheels of Time magazine for delfleet paint. I took that round piece near the bottom of the door and they matched it, dead on it!
