  3. I’m no truck driver just a dumb wrench turner ! But in my humble opinion the more gears the better! 18 sp fuller would be my choice ! Note modern easy to get parts lots of selection for almost any horse power! just my opinion!
  4. Robert and American were both available!odviously fueling were different! Robert Bosch usually came with a switzer turbo and American came with A/R turbos

  10. No sorry bro I don’t! Your core engine is fine you can go up to 315 with that ! The water section used to take up about 3 inches on top of the existing air to air !with a 1 inch tube in and out ath front of the box!
  11. When the engine went to 285 315 they added the air to air box which you have and the web’s between the main bolts which u also have ! 350 they added a water cooler section to the aftercooler ! There may have been some piston changes I am not aware of and also governor / fueling changes!

  13. Rockers and valve covers and push tubes to make it work! The Jake’s should work from the other engine! As it works off cam lift! Dynatard is rather feeble! Jake is moderately better!

  15. It likely has a dynatard cam just no head gear ! nope you need to to follow the firing order to set the valves!
  16. Just run the over head and check not the hard! Loose means nothing unless you’re on the valve set marks! That space is there to make the engine brake function! 220 is bolt tourque that said as Joey mentioned top end with studs ! Esi Engine 53 quart pan!

  18. There ya go! Get that puppy pulled down inspect it and decide what parts you need don’t overlook the oil pump it’s likley toast with all the crap gone through it pull the oil cooler down and clean it out as well! Check the main bearings caps ect and the block! Then you can determine what you need totally! Note take lots of pictures! Can save you a lot of headaches! Did confirm the pistons are one piece?

We once bought a used long block 380 to replace a 460 wouldn’t make 28 psi boost down from 35 fought it for a month till we did some research and ended up doing a key ! Hence the don’t ask! Don’t like handing out false info!
