  2. Electric fuel pump! Likley not because of the year! That said the lda ont the top rear may be at issue here! Let us know!
  3. Sorry just noticed year is it vmac ? If not check throttle lever for going full on and stop for full on!
  4. Terry ! runs good not smoking out anything
  5. what trans do you have and do you have any fault lights ? If no faults and If You have a Mack trans >try disconnecting the torque limit switch on the rear of the trans
  6. Me thinks the crank is the same the pistons may be not!
  7. Well in My mind you either got to check the fuel pressure Or get out the Parts Canon your choice! You need to get facts ! Or just start throwing things at it and hope! If you are also dealing with a miss or partial miss there is a possibility of a broken EUP Spring! Just sayin!
  8. A more car like interior! Great!
  9. Yup check that ! Any other symptoms? Smoke ? Color of smoke at what rpm ect all help with diagnosis!
  10. Yup that would be interesting too know ! That type of pulse timing set up is meant for timing on the fly by turning the pump I believe! Can’t see it being helpful other than not removing the delivery valve! Be alright to check accuracy I would guess! I get the hassle on the RS rad is dam close to the damper on these where the RD the rad is lifted! Good access to the crank bolt!
  11. Sorry bro I have never used the timing tool you speak of!I have on Ambac always set them by spill or blow ! I remove the delivery valve set close to the desired number and then back up the engine a tad then pull it back to to check the set! I ran into this once on a v8 the pump shop swore it was to be set at 19 I could not make it clean up after trying several times! I finally got pissed off an set it to 22 which made it run clean an pull good! I blow time ! (A rubber hose on the inlet of the pump) not sure how you’re doing it! I suggest you jump the timing up the way you’re doing it ,three degrees or so and see if it helps things! Some of the older engines went as high as 30 degrees! just me!
  12. Thanx ! Post if the fix works so others can benefit by your experience!👍 Remember to put the engine on its timing mark before you pull the pump!
  13. We really need to have this procedure posted near the batteries on the truck somehow. You Bet! And stock up on them capacitors Heins Gona need em! Tow only Vehicle ! put the drive shaft on a Zipper or Velcro!
  14. Air ride suspension? Check ride height!
  15. Fortunately I didn't have to sleep on it ! The beer set my mind straight I guess!
  16. Thanx for looking mower man! It was one of those sitting down having a beer moments and it came to me! So I dropped my beer and went an looked sure enough! thank fully no beer was wasted over this!😂
  17. Yes I believe so! makes the most sense for now! I apologize for being abrupt in the prior post but people tend to keep trying to figure things out with out trying posted avenues of investigation and it tests my patients ! We all mostly come here in an effort to help people with our experiences !There are a lot of willing guys here a ton of knowledge to tap just got a ask and proceed with the suggestions to try and get to the bottom of things! There are a lot of times you will get question answered by a question and there is usually a reason ! NO one knows everything!
  18. Find you self a Bosch fuel shop to replace the sensor inside the pump( My opinion )
  19. The code is pointing to the fuel pump having to be removed and the sensors being replaced The rack actuator is likly faulty !
  20. Bro.we don’t got any magic wands here just experiences ! Did you try the plug thing ? That will cause this! Quit asking questions and try stuff posted ! Everyone here is trying to help but you need to help yourself to we can’t fix stuff virtually! Just sayin! Post what you’ve done and we can move on to the fix!
  21. Again ! Try unplugging the plug at the pump half a dozen times and see if the symptoms change if it does it’s the pins in that plug or the wires to the pump!if not it’s inside the pump itself rack actuator! fretted pins can cause what you have ! the most common fix was to hard wire the pump rather than repining the plug due to how much they gouge for the pins and bits ! Volvo Criminals!
  22. You need to check codes first if none then it Sounds like the rack actuator is fubar ! Try in plugging the plug at the pump half a dozen times and see if the symptoms change if it does it’s the pins in that plug or the wires to the pump!if not it’s inside the pump itself rack actuator!
  23. So an update! I found the issue there is a hoepack switch on the machine it got bumped into the on position and the lines at capped off! 🙏thank god I thought I would be chasing this for weeks!
