  1. Thanks for asking. I have not been too active on the forums since the Superliner is keeping me quite occupied. Nothing serious, just lots to do on a 28 year old truck, and trying to work it at the same time. But we do go out make some money and come back home every week so I would say we are getting along just fine. Quite comfortable to drive despite the lack of air ride. The biggest adjustment has been the small bunk and limited storage space. Lots of thumbs up everywhere I go makes me proud to finally own & drive a Superliner.

    Gregg

I was worried a little ,,,,,,,you been quiet since you got it

Was hoping it wasn't giving you big headaches

  2. Yes,

F.E.T. still needed so the less $ out the better and the Magnum next to my truck isn't the only one. Paper work was generously done by my good friend in Quebec and I had no trouble bringing it home. Bumpy ride it was!

    Ok thanks on the F.E.T?,,

So that meens,,,,,,,,You are going back to this candy store :D

  3. Hello ,, Tim

You need to get back up there and get the Magnum that sits next to your truck

    post-133-0-28222600-1326038081.jpg

^^^^^The Magnum looks like the one ,,that was listed a few years ago with that body and listed with a 6 cyl transplant

Also ,,,,,Is it a pain with getting them over the border {Title and papers } and do you still have to pay F.E.T??

  4. Never checked them...The last time I greased them, they did not appear worn at first glance...but once I get situated, I will jack the front up by the frame and check them...

Yes its a pain dragging timber under the truck with a bottle jack,,,,or if you have a stubby bottle jack put it between the spring and frame

  5. sorry for misleading you about the spacers and longer studs. that post never came out sounding like it should. but actually it has the proper offsets installed. i was not sure what they were called so i just stated spacers. i did have the fronts off for the brake work and kingpins. mechanic said that its all fine. gonna throw some beads in my front floats and see what happens.

    sorry for the bad post.

I'm curious what these (proper offsets) you have that are between the rim and drum ,,,,,,,,little concerned on your safety and the people around

    you ........Could we see pictures

  7. thanks got to get them balanced. my fronts are brand new 425 65r 22.5 on alum rims. i know the prev owner had to install longer studs and spacers for the front rims. truck previously had some narrow front tires.

    thanks

What the previous owner did with spacers and studs is not correct and MUST be removed. even if it is not causing the shimmy..

Your wheel is not siting on the hub bosses.

Stud and hub mount front float rims... use the bosses for stress relief

  11. Rowdy i broke something the day before yesterday at about dark thirty. I have a E6 engine and about ever six months if i dont change the fan belts the inside belt will break. Its done it a few times but this time the belt went under the water pump pulley and burnt the other belt off go thing was i had just dumped a load of hot rocks. But i could not get the belt from under the pulley with out pulling the pulley off.I do not know why it throws one belt. New dampener on it one year ago and no better. glenn

    Glenn

Mack has a double V belt that will replace the 2 separate belts and will last allot longer...I was changing the 2 individual belts every year or so...until I switched to the single belt and does not need as much tension,,,,and less stress on the alternator.

Mack will cross reference your 2 belt number to the single belt number

  12. IFTA has shown a tax rate on the CNG (and any other type of fuel you would like to burn) for each state,, for years now,,, You not going to catch them off gard..... PA you are taxed at the pump but CNG you have to use the tax rate to pay your tax quarterly but if the infrastructure is developed in Pa it will be taxed at the pump

All this will happen,,, when our government gets out of bed with OPEC
