HUH? The RW and RD cabs are not the same, the breather location on the RD has the intake pipe going in thru a notch in the firewall and the hood, the RW came in thru a hood only notch the only cab difference was the added brackets on the inside of the kickpanel to hold the breather brackets.
Thanks 84superdog,,,,,,,Even after owning Rd's I never took notice of the right side cowl was still notched.
I purchased one from dealer stock in 95 to fill a contract. Of-course I noticed the strait cowl on the driver side and must have assumed this was where the RW cab was to live on,,,,When the contract was over I sold the 95 Because I really didn't like the harsh ride,,,,,,The smaller air bags under the RD,,,,,Didn't compare to the RW ride quality I had.
On a side note,,,,,,,,,,,When you post and use words like HUH and REALLY,,,,,,,You seem to come
across as Cocky and since you spend most of your day posting here.......I would hate to have new members think you are some truck God, but you do take the time to search old post to find the answer
for the member's..... I have been on Barry's site 14 years and remember the first time you signed in with
your 84 RW with many questions then you disappeared and came back in 2010 and you jumped in the
chair that other BMT members left empty when they burn out from being a post whore

Yes the MH looks good for its age.......
The RW looks good too ,,,,took awhile to get the turn signals back on and even longer for the pipes back on...How long for the air horn

I cannot remember ever seeing a Superliner with an external air cleaner only on the right like Gary Mahans'?? There was a green Superdog at Yakima that was owned by the former Mack dealer in British Columbia, Canada and it was a beauty! I have not seen any pictures of it from the threads that covered Yakima.
Was told this ,,,
Mack had Some complaints with vendor warranty claims with the air induction location on the RW (dirty hot air)
I believe 1990 they made it standard ,,Right outside air cleaner with vendor engine.
But in 1992 a dealer here ordered a stock RW713 Mack E7 350 using the same specs they used for years
and it came with a right side air cleaner ,,,Yes he checked his specs called Mack they said that is the way
they come now,,,,,,,,,I feel Mack ran out of RW smooth cabs in 93 and used RD face lift cabs for the last year

Is that a cowl hood on a CL?
Yes,,opened to the intake air tunnel,,less stress on the turbo getting air in.
On the blue E9 I used the old tip-turbine scoop directly over the air cleaner.

Picked this up today at the bone yard. Haven't put it on yet I just have it sitting in place, I just wanted a few opinions before I did put it on. I was going to put a drop visor on but I got this one real cheap so If I don't use it I'm not out much if I don't use it.
from down here it looks like a Dieters,,,,,,In case other members like it

Gear variable PTO like the the 6 and 12 speeds
flip the switch and put it in a suitable speed gear to run the PTO and less RPMs
Thats only if the PTO is in the back half of the trans

You may be looking at the shutoff valve for the heater core

Would anyone know the switch settings on the back of the speedometer for a 1995 Mack RD688S? If you would need more information on the truck please let me know.
Thanks
Mike
Dealer will tell you ,,,,,,,,or if you have the build sheet it will be on the last page

My 98 CH613 lost all the gauge lights. All the gauges work, but just no backlighting. Any ideas on what to check first? thanks!
Dad had a similar problem with the plug connection getting hot over time on the back of the blue circuit board,, mostly with the E-tech then the older E7 boards,,,,He wire tied the one wire harness to an adjacent one that gave enough tension to get them working and solved the problem

If anyone has any other DeFazio pics (besides the ones on Hanks Trucks), I would love to see them...
found some here mostly PA pictures

Is that Norman Fritz who owned a sharp LT with a similar paint scheme, one of my favorite photos.
FW
Maybe,,,,,think I remember a ford or a GMC general but my memory is poor ,,,his normal company color is red wth the stripes

Don't know much about the V-8ts, but isn't 2300 kinda high revs for a V8? Thats what the (looks factory) sticker says on the dash. I could see that being max on a streight six. If so, that would mean the cab was changed?
That sticker was used by Mack for dynatard and jake brake switch area because the braking horsepower was in the 21-2200 RPM range
and they didn't want you over 2300...same sticker on the 6 and 8 cylinder

Caught this one at our plant picking up a load of Sheetrock...good looking truck...saw him a couple of days later on I-80...THEN, saw him tonight bob-tailing on the backroads!
Norman W Fritz Trucking,,,Has been hauling for Milton trans for decades his color scheme has caught my eye since he had the MH's.
All Mack fleet mostly visions,,,,The first time I saw his Rawhide was on the gas wells about 2 years ago pulling water bottle and I do
believe he went to Ohio to work the oil patch but that died out in January

Not technically "Jersey Brockways" but i always liked this picture,i used to run with a bunch of these Defazio drivers up and down 81 on my nightly trip to Binghampton,NY some real characters! i took this picture at the Penn-Can truckstop in Harford,PA one afternoon when we decided to stop and eat...................................Mark
I find them old Defazio trucks in the woods some times around here.......they had a yard outside of Avoca PA
Old rumor they were so cheap they wouldn't spec the trucks with deck plates,,,,,,they used plywood and the frames rusted bad under the wood
Pole got in the way

Like the Charger and the Cruiseliner. Looks like a red R model style cab by the road at the end of that row of trucks.
The cruiseliner is at highway auto,,,,They are old mack nuts,, they have baby blue and yellow frame b-model wrecker and a r700 with a V8.. I get over there a few times a year

Once again,I can't get a link to post, but Magnum Superliner chassis # RW613-001350 is listed for sale on the TruckPaper site, repainted but has Magnum on hood, factory day cab,450 ,9 speed, specs check with Will Wingo's Magnum data base.76K miles supposed to be actual.
Mike,,Someone here went to look at this,,,and said the interior is the wrong color and now I seen the pictures it has incorrect visor and grab handles ,,maybe a cab change,,,,
It has been on craigslist for some time with trailer and I was told the trailer is ruff
If that is a resent picture,,,,,the inspection ran out 6 years ago
Also Mike did you happen to call that broker in California on the serial # on that KT truck??
