Broker could have described it better,
Older and straight heavy hauler with a 1150 cubic inch, KT Cummins.
1982 MACK SUPERLINER, it shows 175325 miles on the odometer.
This is a really sharp looking truck. It has a 13 speed
Road Ranger trans, air brakes an a big powerful Cummins KT 600, tuned down
to about 450 HP. It has Alcoa wheels on the front and all the tires are like
new. The wheelbase is 228". It also has an hour meter that reads 6052 hours.$23,900.00

1937 Mack Jr. Pickup - Price: $105,000
1937 Mack Jr. Pickup, Red in color, there are approximately 6 to 8 of these left in existence and only 125 of them were made. This truck has a 6 cylinder Continental engine, hydraulic brakes, 6V, and original equipped lug tires, manual transmission and was purchased in the late 1970's. The truck was not taken off the frame to restore because everything was accessible, But everything else was dismantled to bare steel and started over with. The engine is in great shape, and was gone through in the 80's - it did get a tune up, new hoses, belts, etc., But motor is solid, and sounds great.

Nice!
Sooooo...which is it? Is it hauling water or diesel fuel?
Those trucks are setup for the milling crews each division has one
800 gal of off road fuel and the other tank is water
Also the front discharge port is so they can continue milling and not to have to stop for water

that RW that you are looking at,, should have the old red cable shut down... I see that the leaver has the ear for the cable,,
this truck mostlikly has a kysor alarm system
In the 90's mack used the air shut down solenoid in the V8s but still had the red pull cable that now will read (secondary engine stop)

Perkins 3 Titans,, 4 C-models and 3 wide nose t-800 Kenworths (all planetary drive) have been at the Mehoopany Wind Farm since June this year.Working for BP Wind Energy and RES Americas the Lead contractor......We are in time restraints to be done with 88 turbines and to be operational by Dec 31 2012, or they will lose 10 years of tax credits (green money)
Unfortunately(shit happens) this past Tuesday morning Perkins laid this one on its driver side coming down a hill with a 170,000 pound base tube,he hit the brake doing 5 mph to make a 90 degree turn,,,, They believe the trailer slid on mud and ice and with the weight of it kept pushing the tractor strait into the soft shoulder .The driver was banged up alittle and taken to the hospital but is doing OK ,,,,,,,They towed the truck down 11:00 at night and I didn't have the camera out but didn't look that bad,, windshields where still in and the hood didn't look too bad,,,,,,I will say it was not the drivers fault at all,,,,,,they are big on safety
5 to 15 mph on site and the site is 9,000 acre's but we are in the woods at 2200 feet,, it is steep and slick ,,,,,,,,Mud in the day and ice at night

1983 MACK CAB-OVER, 1983 Mack Cruiseliner, cabover sleeper, 300hp, 10 speed, runs great, tires 75%, $9,000,
http://www.commercia...-OVER-106140606
DESCRIPTION: I fully restored and overhauled this 1979 Mack F model. Nothing went untouched. I started my career in trucking in 1970 with my first Mack truck, a 1964 B Model. Since then I have owned only 1 truck that wasn't a Mack. At the height of my trucking career, I owned 9 Mack trucks and 22 trailers. All of the work and upkeep of the trucks throughout the years was done by me, so I would say I have a vast knowledge of the Mack truck. I completely restored this 1979 Mack F Model in the late 90's. The restoration was a huge undertaking, which took about 2 years and a lot of money. It has a 676 Diesel Engine, a single stick 5-speed transmission. A 417 ratio (rear), power steering, as well as a custom roll and pleat beige interior. I painted the truck a beautiful bright red, which cannot be mistaken. It has Three Axles with 22.5 inch hub tires. The truck will run about 70mph and about 2150rpm’s. The truck runs beautifully with no problems, and since the restoration there have only been 5 miles put on the vehicle. The prime condition of the truck makes it a must have. It would be a great addition to anyone, and still is the "workhorse of Mack’s." The truck is in great condition, partly because for the last several years, since the restoration, it has been in an automobile museum in Appomattox, VA. Location Darlington Heights, VA 23958, which is right outside of Farmville. The truck is available for pickup PRICE $30,000.00.

I think you are looking for unit itself ,,,,,,,the dimensions are ruffly 4" by 7" with a black rounded tube
They were still used by Mack even in the late 90's for the RW and RD as an option .
They were also popular with many manufactures in the 70's and 80's before air power lift tracks

makes a move to global truck traders:
http://www.truckpape...pcid=2000734170
they have it for 18,500$, dont remember what aran had it for.
one interesting thing that shows in these images but not in the original aran images that i saved is the different wheels on the steer tires.
aside from that, i really like this truck . . . . .
I also was thinking it was Arans,,, but his specs are different

Richie Brothers is selling sixtysome D11s in two weeks.
I tend to keep up what commodities are doing and its not good for coal with the flood of natural gas around the world
and the green money thrown at the coal generation plants to convert to natural gas. It happened locally with a small 40 year old coal fired plant locally now ruining gas,,I would say that eliminated 30 steady trucking delivery jobs alone and the other jobs that had to handle and process the coal to use.
Also the combination of weaker-than-expected demand from the world's two largest coal-consuming nations ,(Mostly china )and mild winter weather and excess global supply has pulled the benchmark price of thermal coal, burned to generate electricity, down by more than 20% since the start of the year. Prices are now so low that the highest-cost producers are losing money.
Natural gas is not any better,, being profitable today, because of the glut in the world market
Patriot is in the top ten producer ,,Peabody being #1
the equipment that has been flooding the market is part of patriot coal restructuring http://www.reuters.c...E86816620120709
NYS Overweight permits?
in Trucking News
Posted
In the mid 80's running salt,,,,you guys used allot of trailing axles (Strong arms) for R permits on the triaxles.
Does NY still recognize them and could you put them on your tandem to get the length you need??
