  1. The CH I used to drive would eat throttle springs for lunch. It sucked when they would break while driving, but you can't beat a 2 minute roadside repair! I couldn't care less about aesthetics. I'd rather look at exposed screw heads all day than deal with this snap on crap that breaks if you look at it the wrong way.
  2. Nice job considering you were multi-multi-tasking. Jakes and Cruise Control are no-no's on slick roads. Prolly shouldn't use them at all while bobtailing on any surface with no weight on the drives.
  3. I'd like to offer a counterpoint.
  4. Nice detail. At first I thought it was the mechanism for that alarm clock you wanted a while back.
  5. You could probably lose by just walking fast.
  6. Holy Crap is right! Thankfully I have two teenage daughters who are up on this nonsense or I'd be looking at a blank screen right now. I'm still trying to figure out how I can go to work on Monday and just copy and paste the rest of the week.
  7. One of the operators manuals in the BMT Wiki section shows the option of a Spicer 4 speed to go behind the 1076/1078 transmissions. I think it was the R & U manual.
  8. '72 was my sarcastic response to Vinnies '73-'75 and my original "73-'74 posts.
  9. At first I was anxious to see how they shoehorned a turbocharged Cummins into a DM. Now I wish I'd never looked.
  10. Dammit, that's better than finding a $20 bill that you left in your coat last winter!
  11. The hood and bumper have me thinking '73-'74.
  12. North Pole? Is that what they're calling it these days?
  13. Disclaimer: Do Not..I repeat..Do Not make any major repairs or invest a large some of money on any item or service based on my opinions or experiences. You are likely to regret such a decision. The opinion above is based on my experiences.
  14. I'm using IE7 with no issues on BMT or searches on TruckPaper.
  15. I thought you might like that one I. That issue is one of only 5 or 6 that I had in '77-'78 and even then I was a huge fan of dressing up a stock truck with a little chrome and pinstriping. As soon I saw the picture I remembered the details, like that it had padded door panels and that it was originally a tractor.
  16. The 1978's are up! As always, lots of great old Macks and others. http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truck_magazines/truck-and-trucking-/1978-overdrive-magazine/ Check out the August '78 issue. I'm surprised the Mayan calender didn't end on the day Overdrive found a Ford they actually liked.
  17. I thought it was his butt-obsessed twin, Hiney. I'll sleep better tonight knowing that's actually what he meant to say.
  18. I think that's what you were getting at also. I'm supposed to be at work right now but Mutha Naycha had other plans. Now I have all this pent up wiseass-edness that would normally be inflicted upon my coworkers and it needs to be purged.
  19. I guess it's true. Window condensation is low in fat and calories.
  20. Who are you and what have you done with Vinny?
  21. It shouldn't be very hard to find at this point. It might even come running if you call it by name.
  22. Thanks for sharing. I tried the link and it said the page was unavailable.
  23. I like how some put their company name in big letters on the side of the trailers. The Budron trailers look brand new.
