Sometimes when I park, it suddenly shows a “parking brake system fault” message, but the brake itself seems to work fine. After restarting the car, the warning sometimes disappears, sometimes it comes back again. Has anyone else experienced this? What’s usually causing it — sensor issue, module glitch, or is this just normal behavior for this model? Sounds like they got a plug-in to the dashboard with a computer. You might wind up taking it to the dealer. I’m sure it’s a small fix. It's known as the Ford Escape in the U.S. since MY2013, but as the Kuga in the global market.
