We had a 2007 CL glider kit with a 1995 427 18 speed mack and 4.30 rockwell double lockers on air. Pulled a centermount  loader log trailer . It had the blixxton and hopped up injectors and a stock turbo it would go real good.  My 2022 western star with a 565 X15 wouldnt pull out of site of it

I’m a little late to the party but I have done basically this last winter. I pulled out an EM6-285 2 valve that finally gave up. I bought an E7 that started life as a 400 VMAC with the Bosch pump and electronic governer housing and throttle control. I did not use that pump but now i wonder if i should have. But that’s another story. Anyway, started with the steel top 15.3 compression pistons. Scrounged up a mechanical P-7000 series pump. Sent the pump and stock injectors to Antrim diesel in PA. These people are top notch. Absolutely amazing service and communication. Using some dyno sheets and specs from engines and trucks they had previously done up, they built the pump, and injectors and matched a S-475 type turbo. It was not cheap. Had to have new larger plunger and barrel sets and delivery valves. I had them do completely away with the aneroid valve and put a cover plate in its place. Used 3,000 rpm governor springs for the dodge/5.9 p7100. (They ran it on the stand and said it will probably govern the mack engine to about 2500 rpm. I dont know as I dont push it that hard)

Injector nozzles are a 427 that’s approximately 20% over. I spill timed it at right around 20.5-21° btdc. 
It has not been on a dyno. They estimate judging by previous data of almost identical setups that it should be in the neighborhood of 475hp to the ground. They figure around 550-570 hp at the flywheel and 1800 ft lb of torque, give or take. I put a new genuine eaton 2050 clutch in it while it was apart.
It is a very different truck.  Its a 1978 R685. It has mack 4.17 rears and i took the old 2 stick 107 six speed out years before and put in an eaton 9LL. RTO14909MLL to be exact. It pulls very hard… the harder you mash the throttle the louder it gets and faster it goes. Lol…and it will turn the sky black if you want it to but it’s actually not terribly smoky if you drive it right and I usually go pretty easy on it. They told me it would probably have a dirty, smoky idle, and it does. Some things I think need to be noted are 

1: Im the only driver. Ever. 
2: It will absolutely get exhaust temps high very easily. Have to pay attention and respect it.
3: it will probably not see close to 500,000 miles in the rest of its lifetime nor mine. 
i dont think it would live long with just any driver in it. It probably wouldn’t live too long with anyone. I did it this way anyway because I knew it would be a low mileage very local truck. 
There are too many names here to name them all but i have had tons of good real world advice and knowledge from folks on this site. JoJo and terry and freightrain. Just to name a few. And sure miss Glen Akers. I don’t know much but maybe what little experience I can offer will help someone.

An E-7 with electronic injection can take it at 500hp but I’m not sure about mechanical from 350hp.  I think you need to change the cam . Something is different on the e-7 400-460 than the 350hp
