Dunno about over there, but BMT is at the top of any search for Mack info over here, after their sponsored sites.

guess I've been married so long ; I have been able to tune out distractions in my life (wife)! if the adds helped finance this site ;hopefully BMT will continue.

Yes indeed!  We don't get any money from the ads under the analytics module but they really help get "preferential treatment " from Google's search engine!

That's another part of the modern ad-pocalypse; Youtube used to not show ads on non-monetized accounts, but somewhere along the line that changed. Look up a car repair tutorial made by an account that clearly isn't big or popular enough to be monetized? Ads out the wazoo. Guntuber posts a video about shooting machine guns and isn't monetized because of such? Ads out the wazoo. But neither one of them make a penny off the viewer having to sit through 3 minutes worth of ads for potentially 2 minutes of video. Don't get me started on streaming services forcing ads now.

there a necessary evil,,,,i get it,,,people get alotta money to post them,,,,,i see more and more of them covering everything im trying to look up especially google news they pop up and almost completely cover the storys im trying to read,,,and some cases i x them out and they pop back up

Yeah, we don't see any amount of money from ads but they do help with the Google Analytics, SEO and page ranking...they seem to be a package deal with the add-on extension from Google.  I just tuck a simple banner under the footer where most people don't have to even see it!  I'd rather have only our actual forum sponsor banners up top below the header!
