The engine was a remain from crank to heads. The plug behind front cover was never put in. Thats what happens sometimes when 2 people are working on a truck. Everything is good after i put the plug in. Its been 8 months no problems. Now i need a new hood for a set forward axle ch613 if anyone knows anyone on the westcoast. THANKS FOR EVERYONES INPUT I APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH.

Now I need to find a dam hood. I had someone merge into me last week and she had no insurance! If possible id like to buy a used hood besides turning it over to my insurance and my rates go up. They have already gone way up over the last 2 years for no reason. If anyone know where to find a hood on the west coast for a 1988 to 2004 ch model with set forward axle let me know please.

I AM A BIT LATE FORGOT ABOUT THE POST. When we put the new engine in the plug behind the front cover for the fuel galley was not put in. So all it had was a little bit of gasket silione holding the fuel back untill it gave out. So i pulled the front cover plugged the hole with a pipe plug and thats all she wrote. Sorry for the late reply. Completely forgot lol.

At least you got back!sorry to hear about the hood incident!😡

good call on the dye and puling the breather, I almost posted to pull the breather and pump the primer to see if you could see fuel running..  So 3 years ago, I had 2 engines at one customers co. with fuel in the oil..  the first one, was hard to find,, and the owner said,,  jojo!!!  re-build the damn thing..  pulled the front cover.. no leak at the plugs. upon tear down I found 2 pistons with stuck rings...  the engine was getting washed by #3+#4...  The second one, had a major fuel leak at the lower fuel gallery plug behind the front cover..  Both engines are still at work today..

Hello Joey. I'm having diesel in oil problem also. Mine is a 2000 Mack tech 460hp. I've done pluge behind front cover, new injectors, rebuild unit pumps, new primer pump, sent heads in to be rebuilt at machine shop. And I'm still "making oil"

You mentioned here you've did a job where the rings were stuck... Do you think if I do a compression test it will let me know if I have some stuck rings that is washing my engine like your case? I'm wanting not confirm this without tear it down and simply guessing.

Yes a compression test would help. Truth is,  I did a lot of diagnostics on that one. The owner just said,  to hell with it!  Just rebuild the damned thing. Thats when I found the stuck rings on 2 cylinders.  Both were the second compression ring..
