Hello. I'm new to the platform. I few years back I read some comments written by Mackpro on the topic of upgrading up to a 460hp. Unfortunately I can't find this info anymore.
Im dealing with a 1998 CH vin: 1M1AA12Y5WW093579. The 11GBA - 80430.
I'm almost done changing out the unit pumps, turbo, and the injector tips. I'm waiting on dealership to tell me what position I need to offset the key way (red or white).
My question is do I have to do the software upgrade through the dealership or may I just buy a computer from a 460hp rated truck? And if so, would it be the engine ecm or the VECU or both.
