remove coolant fan on 2007 cv713

Recommended Posts

You must have the setup with about 1 inch of space.  I'm a bit rusty, but I think I took the fan blade loose and slid it to the engine and then took out the clutch bolts.. I may have removed all but 1 clutch bolt first, and got the last one loose, then took the fan blade loose..  I may have drained a couple gallons out, so i could take the top hose off the radiator and loosen the supports to lean the radiator back..  the hood will need to be supported. At least you can stand inside the hood opening.

Hey Mack Hamer???  can you post some pics from both sides, not close ups?  I get mad at myself when I cant answer a question like yours because I know these trucks, but I am rusty on the fine details for some reason..   :)

I removed the top radiator hose, air charge hoses and support brackets and leaned the radiator forward and still did not have enough room to remove the fan. The A/C lines where pulled tight once I removed them I could lean the radiator forward enough to barely get it out. Dumb setup !! I appreciate the response for help.

Yes sir and it gets worse When the Mp engines get involved! Even changing a belt is an ordeal on these doubles the time  ! They go out of there way to make things difficult! We had several Tandem Tandem Mixers here and with a body lift it makes for added frustration!
