Bluebulldog Posted February 22, 2023 Share Posted February 22, 2023 Truck developed an oil leak on top of transmission. Pulled the cab floor up and found one bolt out of the shifter and the other three finger loose. Can I lift that enough to put some sealant under it with out bad things happening. Popular Post Joey Mack Posted February 23, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted February 23, 2023 Pull the shifter out, make sure the 3 shift rails are on line, it will form a square opening in the middle. That's where the ball end of the shifter goes back in. Get 2 long 3/8" bolts and cut the heads off and screw them in the shift cover at opposite corners, to use as guide bolts when lowering the shift lever.. oh yeah, put a new gasket on it first.. :).
