tjc transport Posted July 27, 2022 Share Posted July 27, 2022 it is almost impossible to "year" a DM simply by looking at a front picture as the sheet metal was all the same from start of production in 1966 through end of production in 1988. in 73 (i think it was) mack went from the steel "round dash" to the plastic dash which could be seen through the windshield to give a hint of early or older. 2 Quote when you are up to your armpits in alligators, it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp.. It also has the larger plastic Mack letters on the front which I think came sometime in the 70's rather than the smaller metal letters.
