Mack e7 460

Tim

Question

Hello. I hope someone can give me some help here.   I had my 460 rebuilt in December due to oil consumption problems    it was slobbering out of turbo out of valve guides and burning some. Wore out. Since then it has never run right.   It was a premium in frame done by a Mack dealer but they can't find problem.  Has new heads new injector tubes new oil pump new turbo new rad and water pump and six liner kits.  Problem is when engine gets hot it stammers and feels like a miss.  But if you stop and let it go to idle it pops through exhaust pop pop pop sounding like engine brake is on.  The hotter engine gets the worse it gets to point if leaving from a stop it will knock like a fuel knock and studded until higher rpm   Mack replaced front Jake solenoid and oringed the back solenoid but no change.   When engine cool no issues.   Water temp 185 to 195.   I don't have oil temp gauge.   They did not replace oil cooler at unframed.   Any thoughts?
