bleeding air from steering

How do you bleed the air out of the steering system on a CF 600 ? we had to move one of our trucks around to put tire chains on it today and the steering was hard to turn almost like it was locked until I revved the engine up pretty high and then it started steering fine I shut it down and checked the oil in it and almost put a gallon in it and now you have to rev it up to get it to steer when you first start it. I hope its not something worse than air locked. thanks joe

Usually you can just turn the wheel lock to lock a few times and get all the air out.

I just blew a PS hose on my RD822 and dumped all the fluid. I just replaced the hose, filled the reservoir back up, cycled the system a few times, and was good to go.

Turn the wheel very slow to bleed the air out and not cause it to foam. Paul
