joes mack Posted November 14, 2015 Share Posted November 14, 2015 I was wondering if the impeller and shaft in a 1,000 G P M waterous 2 stage pump is the same as the 1,250 G P M. we are parting out a 1980 cf that was totaled by the insurance company because of a busted pump housing and pipework. the frame is also in bad shape so parting her out to keep our other 3 running is our plan. and I want to keep everything that I can off of her. thanks in advance joe Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
1958 F.W.D. Posted November 14, 2015 Share Posted November 14, 2015 Most pumps from 1000 up to 1750 for the most part have the same basic case and internals. The GPM increases with the quantity and size of intakes and discharges. Pump gearing and engine size also come into play. So the short answer is yes, they are probably the same. For a better answer, call Gregg Geske at Waterous and have both serial numbers handy. Tell him that Randy, Sam Yardumian's son sent you.
