1949 Caterpillar D8 8R

Recommended Posts

I've got a deal worked out to buy a pretty sweet old slide bar D8. My question is, does anybody have a rough idea what one would weigh? It has the blade and winch on it. I'm guessing somewhere around 40,000 lbs. I'll get some pics soon.

Dang, Jake I need to go to work for you! You'll have to buy more land to store all your goodies:) What does the fleet consist of now? My dad had a D8 from the 60's or 70's with sweeps, screens and a winch and I think it was a 100k pound machine. Don't know if this helps, but that will give you an extreme idea.
