They need to know if it takes 18 or 20 studs dont know if i can count them with valve covers and everthing else in the way. This is the sure way to know since the early heads had 18 studs and the later heads had 20. 20 studs and 2 sizes on the corners were bigger 3/4 studs.mike Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bluebonnet Posted June 17, 2013 Author Share Posted June 17, 2013 I realize the heads have to come off to replace the gaskets but i want all the parts ahead of time as i want my truck back in service pdq.I think it has the 20 stud gasket because two of the corners has two studs close together. Just wanting to order the right parts the first time.I dont have any serious problems with the engine just a broken manifold stud.
