It' didn't ride as bad as one would fear, particularly if it had Budd wheels. Actually it was an extremely stabile and agile platform.The U-700 versions operations by Southeastern Freight Lines were quite a sight, with their high cab and hood mounting configuration to accomodate the Cummins engines that Southeast preferred.
