heh heh, theres a mesican runs round here in an old beat to hell dodge with cummins that has one stack bout that size or bigger sprouting up in bed of pickup. I think he welded 2 55 gallon drums end to end and painted them silver. I dont think he has a turbine. randyp

First time I've ever seen a pic of this one. Anybody know the story ??

There were two Superliners and two Cruiseliners. One of the Superliners was involved in a wreck and the other was just scraped out as well as one of the Cruiseliners. The last surviving Cruiseliner is at the Mack Museum in Allentown.

Turbine technology was just not ready for street use. These trucks went on US tour and impeeded traffic everywhere they went. When at a stop light, you had to build boost to get rolling, by the time you got the turbine spooled up to roll the light was red again.
