Does any body know the correct display of BullDog on a 1972 R-795ST with a Maxidyne? I know the hood is gold dog and chrome base but I'm not sure about the mirrors, the half dogs on the doors or the letters on the front and sides of the hood. Also the V-8 emblem?

The mirrors are incorrect for your year of truck. The standard mirror in those days was the bubble back style with "MACK" stamped into them from the backside creating a raised profile on the outer surface.

The 1/2 dog profiles on the doors faced forward on the truck.

I'm not aware of any color but chrome for the script on the hood, and the V8 emblem affixed to the hood.

Superdog will be able to clarify for certain.

The Bulldogs on the doors would be gold and the V8 emblems on the Maxidynes were gold, too. You used to be able to get gold dogs on the mirrors too,but like Rob said, those are newer than your truck if you're trying to be PC.

Thanks, I plan to get a pair of the bubble back mirrors in stainless. I'm not too worried about the small stuff but I do want to keep it as close to original I can. Especially when I go to buy new emblems or get these re-finished I might as well do it right.
