Ah ok. So I take it just loosen that hand crank and the top part comes off? Are the cartridges readily available?

TAKE THE PLUG OUT FIRST

let it drain, plug back in, loosen crank. Bottom of unit will come down to expose element.

Mack may have element, probably have to order though. Or try NAPA. They can cross reference # to other vendors.
