vision386 Posted June 23, 2010 Share Posted June 23, 2010 Hey randy,right there with you! i always was interested in vintage aircraft (WWII era) i had an opportunity to take a ride in a B-17 when i was a younger man,it was quite an adventure! my maternal grandfather was a right waist gunner on a B-17, flew 26 missions, was shot down twice! tough old bastard! don't know if you know the name, but paul tibbetts has always been one of my heroes (enola gay/ B-29) when i think, or read something about what these flight crews went through,makes me proud to be an american!...........Mark Quote Mack Truck literate. Mind you, I mean to take nothing away from our beachlanding veterans, or any of them, they have a special place in my heart. I buy vintage aircraft mags, just always had a big interest in them.
