  1. Mine has the 442 ratio, square axle splines (17 teeth), fine input spline (46 teeth at the yoke - 27 teeth between the diff and power divider), fine output spline (39 teeth), the torsion arm mounts with 4 bolts however there are 2 unused bolt bosses on the top. This is the CRD92 diff.
  2. I am looking for a front diff for my truck... I am not sure if I have the fine or coarse splines but will check tomorrow. Mine does have the air operated inter axle power divider.
  3. Guys, I have been racing in chumpcar for 3 years now. We have raced in Calgary, Spokane, Daytona, Laguna Seca and The Ridge. It is a fun, low buck race series. Today, they announced a new race series... Chumptruck! This is road racing with retired (sub $5000) semis. Anyway if you want more info www.chumptruck.com If this is even half as fun as chumpcar, it will be awesome.
  4. I aired down the bags while i was driving empty and it made no difference.
  5. I have only noticed this in high range but at 30 MPH, it wouldn't have been in top gear. Could it be a broken axle?
  6. There is no freeplay in the driveline (like a cruise control on / off) and there is no vibration in the gear shift. It will do this on a constant climb up a hill.
  7. My 95 CH613 gravel truck developed a today. Atleast I noticed it today on the way back from hauling household garbage to the dump... Everything in the driveline seems tight, the tires are good, rough or blacktop doesn't seem to make a difference. The power diverder lockout maight make it louder but it could be my imagination. I drove with the box part way up and cant see anything weird happening with the driveshafts when it clunks. Oh, and it isnt the tail gate clunking, this is what I initially thought it might be but this is what it sounds like. If I roll up the window, I cant hear it. What say you guys?
  8. Those look like custom built trailers for this job. What else would you use them for?
  9. First Mack I drove is my 95 CH613 Gravel Truck. This is also the first truck my boy drove, he was a little over a year old when I bought it last summer and has driven (sat on my lap and steered) it lots. He loves the Mack.
  10. The shifter pivot pin has rattled out of my shifter twice. How do I prevent this's from happening again? It is a pain in the arse when it happens. Both times the pin was just sitting un top of he tranny. This is a MaxiTorque 18 speed.
  11. I am considering buying a 94 Ford L9000 with a sander box and a gravel box. It has 300,000 miles on it with a cummins M11-350 and a 10 speed trans. This would be a flipper - what say the collecive wisdom on L9000's?
  12. http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-classic-cars-Mack-Semi-W0QQAdIdZ399690741 No affiliation, seemed like a good deal so I thought I would pass it along to those who may be interested.
  13. I miss Russia after seeing your photos. I think these were Fracmaster trucks.
  14. The Superliner tanks are from an 88 Superlner. My CH s a 95 an currently has 100 gallon tanks. I would have to move my hydraulic tank back but otherwise wold these fit my truck?
  15. Welcome. I have a very similar truck. Guys in the modern Mack forum will set you straight on your issues. Everyone here is very helpful.
  16. AGREED! I had a 91.5 W250 like that and it was great. I also had a 2003 Laramie with the Cummins and it was the worst POS I ever owned. For what that POS cost me in the 3 years I owned it, I could have made payments on a new Porsche 911 Turbo. 2 transfer cases, a tranny (Mopar reman), steering box, front wheel bearings, 2 front drive shafts, rad, death wobble, heater controls, 3 torque converters in a month (these were warrantee), wiring, brake lines, fuel lines to back if truck when transfer case #2 came apart, throttle position sensor, fuel pump, and I know I am forgetting a bunch of stuff. The truck also sat for 13 month of my 3 year ownership...
  17. I finally took this thing on the hi way last night. It runs ok, has nowhere near the power of my Mack, but it's manageable. It has a shake at 60 MPH but is fine all the way up to 55. I wouldn't want to drive it cross country but we'll take it to Spokane in May.
  18. I'll post up some pics tomorrow. I had my dad driving for me most of today, I kept the ruts down with my tractor and did some loading with th track hoe. The track hoe controls are set up at CAT standard and I am used to my old John Deere rubber tired backhoe so I as to think my way brought every movement. We only broke 1 airline today on the Mack and we kept he wheels turning. I have no idea how any yards we moved today but we worked for 13 hours at roughly 5 minutes a load. Did a lot of backing up (some loads 200 yards plus) and the odo doesn't wind back in reverse.
  19. I am building a mile of road into my farm. I have my CH613, a JD200 track hoe, a D6 Cat and we brought in a Western Star gravel truck as well to help keep the hoe busy. Yesterday, the Western Star was slower than me in the Mack but was getting the job done. The owner was running it. Today, they brought out one other guy to run it, he got stuck on the first load and numerous other times throught the day. They knocked a rear tire off the rim, chucked a chain and eventually tore out the power lockout divider. I hauled 3 loads to their 2 until they broke... Again. The driver said my truck was way better suited to what we ae doing. How can this be? I have a converted bulk hauler tractor with air suspension. The Western Star has walking beam suspension, a 16' box, and is a purpose built gravel truck. The only problems I have are that I keep breaking airlines in ruts, I had to set up my fan to run 100% of the time, and I nearly dropped it into the dugout at he end of the day backing in distracted.
  20. Be careful about uship. I am one of the Kurt Keiper / Summit Transport victims. I did business with him based on his uship reviews. Even though he is a convicted scam artist, uship won't take down his profile or positive ratings.
  21. I got a key made up for this unit today, it started right up so I took it for a drive. It runs fine, the brakes work, it drives straight, seems to be fairly tight, only one clearance light is burnt out. It doesn't have an engine brake... The tranny is full synchromesh so it drives like a pickup.
