Who ever is driving that blue one second from the bottom looks like they can barely see over the steering wheel

    Paul

You mean you don’t have the “cool” drivers down under? Lots of them in the US. Let all of the air out of the seat, put a huge visor on so you can look cool looking through a slit at the highway and can barely see your mirrors much less be able to turn your head and be able to look over the window sill to check your blind spot.

Read my reply. The man is no dummy. I am absolutely convinced he was set up.

That or is it possible our government is throwing a little “bait” out there to see who does what with our intelligence agencies watching very closely?

Is this where all of us are goning? REALLY MAN  you all are saying goodby to a JAPAN product. I maybe excommunicating myself but come on this is a MACK site. I have had several Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kubota products of differemy sorts.  Even a Cat 931B loader that was a Komatsu in disguise  Yhey were good equipment, but come on. Really!!  You all grace the white flag with the RED circle?? This is a just a wrong thead. Got a Honda CT70, 1972 was my first cycle but you want it? Great bike but, My memories are American.

Yes,closed in, because of the COVID19, a 100% China product, but really to hear of a Kobota over a Ford 8N, Chalmers, Moline, International, Deere, Even a British  Dave Brown, Really??

Disregard the spelling, just had a few on a Sunday afternoon.

Let's Talk American, maybe MACK? Just between freinds?

My John Deere has a Mahindra engine in it. Scratch John Deere off of the American icon list of acceptable pieces of equipment to talk about?  😁 kobotas are legendary in the small to mid sized tractor market. Nearly bullet proof and if taken care of last a lifetime or more.

I’m with the Mud Duck. Not so opposed to migration since it’s already here. Let’em roll the dice if they want to, they’re moving further away from good hospitals and into the land of Indian medicine men dancing and slapping your fevered body with a dead eagles plumage.

If it was just the people leaving and migrating that were rolling the dice that would be fine. Why should they have the opportunity to spread something that is highly infectious to very small rural areas with little to no healthcare options. There’s less than 2000 people in the county I live in. We have a little medical center that doesn’t do much for any serious injury or illness. They more or less patch you up good enough to keep you alive until they can get you to help. For me the closest real medical help (again not including our triage center) is 100 miles away one way. So these selfish people should be able to come to a rural place and expose a very small community to Coronavirus that has very, very little medical care?  I think that’s wrong but I guess that’s just me. Always enjoy visiting and hearing your side of things MackTech. Stay healthy.

  6. I guess I feel the rules apply equally to all of us. Just because I have some $$$ to travel somewhere I wouldn’t/won’t especially during this lockdown. They choose to live in an overcrowded city so in my opinion (and it’s just that, my opinion) they shouldn’t be allowed to spread this crap. We won’t ever get a handle on this as long as people keep being so self centered like the spring breakers, the lady in Connecticut with $$$ that had a big party during the quarantine and spread it, the Ny millionaires who purposely left the quarantine area and some knowing having or having direct contact with the Coronavirus going to the hamptons. Do your part and stay home to help stop this and relieve some of the pressure on our healthcare system by not spreading this so fast. Just my  two cents.

  7. News on local radio station says local Montanans are requesting that the governor figure out a way to stop all of the Californians who are supposed to be in stay at home quarantine like the rest of us from flocking up here to avoid being in California. Seems absolutely ridiculous that we don’t shut travel down period for awhile with very few exceptions for essential personnel. Doesn’t seem that would be hard to do. Want a flight? Unless your a doctor or some other person or reason better than that Nope stay home. You want to leave the county or city you’re in?  Again unless you have a damn good reason nope. Get home.

1 in every 5.5 people on Earth is Chinese (Be happy were not the 0.5). May be a tough group to intimidate.

They are the number one importer of soy beans which many come from the US and US allies so that’s one bit of leverage that could be used.

Again, China beat this by making everyone stay home (compartmentalizing). It works. But other countries have been reluctant to go to that extreme.

It’s going to be hard to keep people inside when we have people like Cuomo politicizing this emergency threatening in the media that he’ll sue the Trump administration because it’s unconstitutional to make him stay home when Trump is talking about shutting down NJ And NY for awhile to get this under control. This stupidity of fighting the president even if what he’s doing is right has got to stop and I hope people remember this come voting season.

  10. Well so far this isn’t a terribly deadly virus.  Just heard that it’s only around 3% that are infected die. That number would be far lower if we could test more people and get a number on how many people that caught the virus and didn’t get reported as having it. The biggest problem seems to be how highly contagious and fast it spreads which can overwhelm hospitals which means people who need critical care can’t get it which can be deadly.

So he does have a stockpile and more or less admits he has no clue how many he is going to need but he’ll project an astronomical number of ventilators needed plus the 2 hospital ships that he want for New York.  There’s a fine line between being proactive and being greedy and using this crisis to grandstand for his own personal gain.  There are 49 other states and 6 or so territories  that need supplies as well  here’s the link to the full article

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-hannity-coronavirus-ventilators-new-york-30000/
Somebody said on one of the cable news shows said: 'The ventilators that New York needed aren't even being deployed, they're in a stockpile,'" Cuomo said. "Yes, they're in a stockpile, because that's where they're supposed to be, because we don't need them yet, we need them for the apex, the apex isn't here so we're gathering them in the stockpile so when we need them they will be there."

"Second point: 'Well maybe you don't need 30,000.' Look, I don't have a crystal ball, everybody's entitled to their own opinion, but I don't operate here on opinion. I operate on facts, and on data, and on numbers, and on projections," he said.

"I hope we don't need 30,000 ventilators, I hope some natural weather change happens over night kills the virus globally ... but the numbers say you might need 30,000."

Cuomo has said projections show the state will need the ventilators within the next two weeks, when the peak of coronavirus cases is expected to hit the state. As of Wednesday, Cuomo said the state has been able gather about half of the ventilators it needs, but only about 4,000 of those have come from the federal government.

I'm hoping warmer weather, I heard 77 degrees F, has a positive effect. That would buy time for the developments of vaccines and more medicines for treatment, assuming worst case scenario it would return next winter. SARS, for example, for whatever reason, never returned.

Otherwise, as extremely contagious as it appears to be, many states might be 2 or more months away from peaking. There's a limit to how long our national economy can take a beating. Any longer and a recovery will take considerable time.

The heat won’t help this go away. Read an article about it some time ago that it was 85 plus Fahrenheit in wuhan when this broke out.
